Somebody who wouldn't back up such a potentially valuable data is a moron.Stories like this (and losing passwords etc) are probably the biggest reason that bitcoin is unlikely to ever gain widespread use. Being able to accidentally destroy all your money is not an especially good feature of something being used by the general public.

Hard Drives Fail. I've had 3 fail over the years. Yeah, heavy use, but they do fail.
Everything of high value to me is stored on at least 3 data drives.
didnt want people thinking barfers stopped trading crypto just because no one's posting here (since we're a bunch of fairweather crypto traders).
sold a chunk of my dogecoin. bought 500$ worth years ago as a joke and at it's peak it was nearly 80 grand. i lost half on a drive somewhere.
also, eth hit an ATH today.

call me a skeptic, but i dont believe you lol... but you have nothing to gain in proving it to me. i just have a hard time believing someone from a pre 2017 bull cycle is committed to 10$ buys.
