Last time I talked to Josh he was preparing to move back east.
Anyone know a good reasonable place to get tires mounted? I've been quoted $105 and $112 from local shops for two tires mounted with wheels on bike and that seems pretty expensive. Looking to see if someone can provide a helping hand for a newbie in the bay area. Thanks all!
for wheels on the bike that sounds about right...
it cost me just under $60 for both wheels off my bike, aint cheap, but the tires online have some pretty good deals so atleast you save there.
Went to Santa Clara Cycles over the weekend to buy my tires and they allowed me to use their tools to take off my wheels at their shop if I did it myself. They mounted and balanced for free at that point as well.
$242 and a couple hours later I had a fresh set of Battlax S21's installed. Great guys, awesome shop, and really good prices. I guess buying local ended up being cheaper than buying online for me. Definitely recommend Santa Clara Cycles for anyone who needs tires and don't mind getting their hands a bit dirty while learning more about their ride.
Does anyone know a place for a changing a rear tire in South Bay that is reasonably priced. I have been quoted $80+ which sounds too high. Thanks
Local shops get a bit pricey with multiple bikes and multiple sets of wheels.
I buy some tires locally and pay the price for mounting, but it adds UP!
Please, no more Bloody Knuckles! :wow
with wheels ON.$45 for wheels ON or OFF the bike?
Shops in my area charge about $30 per wheel, if you bring them your wheel.
