Anyone going to Sturgis on a sports bike next month?

The glass being half full...
this may be an example of how Americans can safely assemble in huge numbers and be responsible to address current heath concerns.

Maybe

To answer the OP's question...

No, not going.

Get to Sturgis, park on Main (good luck on doing that now), go into the first bar, order a shot of tequila with a beer back, walk up the street visiting other fine establishments, buy a shirt, walk back the other side of street while stopping at "establishments for food and beverage", then back to bike. Start bike then head West back into Wyoming and take a week to get home on two lane roads. :teeth

It's all about the :ride man!

Besides, Sturgis is just a big cluster f _ _ k anymore.

If you did not ride around the Black Hills and Custer Park and Badlands etc, you did yourself a big disservice. It's not just drinking anymore.
Also major entertainment comes to the rally at some of the campgrounds.
Also racing and hill climbing.
So, a lot to do.

I'm not going either. I went in 2017 and did it all. Not likely to return as I have other things on my bucket list.:thumbup

Have been watching the live webcams. Not sure what make me cringe more. The no masks or the no helmet; shorts and cut off T-shirts riders. :thumbdown

I was surprised to see a few masks.

Folks seem to handle those intersections pretty well.

Masks by a mile for me. The rest is what it is and always has been. I am fine with people choosing their own way. I have seen a few masks. Certainly not a lot.

Be Here Now
3 minutes in.

2 mask, no full face helmets, a trump cape and 3 "white lives matter" shirts.

Also, a whole lot of bow-legged walking individuals which has been funny to watch.

I think I'm going to head out there for some "Full Throttle Hand Sanitzer Half Gallon $15.99 " at Sturgis Liqour.

Wanna join me? :ride

Once the big bars and music venues get rolling, more web cams will pop up.
There is a lot of room in the Black hills to spread out, you won't see that on the web.

Sad and maybe true. :(

End of the article:
"Go for a ride out into the middle of the wilderness. Camp by yourself or with a couple of friends for a night. Be one with nature and stare at the stars for a while. Set your campsites up at least 10 feet apart. But please, don’t go to Sturgis. The motorcycle community is small enough as it is, and I don’t want you to die."

You all are pretty upset about a group of people that don't give a fuck what you think.
Don't your bikes need to be washed or something?
