Can't you find a way to get COVID and herpes closer to home?

:laughing

I am in the state of :wtf are they thinking letting this roll out.

If you go man.. be careful because i would guess masks will match the number of helmets worn.

SD never quarantined anybody. Was always open for business.

There was no COVID Spike at Daytona this year and tens off thousands went.

All the quarantine is nonsense IMHO.

I was in Miami during that same week, March 6th through the 15th and there was virtually NO infections in Miami, even ate at a restaurant, no real social distancing, not much fear.

Around the end of bike week there were about 300 reported cases total in Florida.

Now there are 451,000.

Nice try though.

But the smart ones there closed down:

I'm pretty sure Daytona is in Florida, and Florida hasn't been doing as well as they could with the infection rates.

A Tulsa rally result today:

Herman Cain, ex-presidential candidate who refused to wear mask, dies after COVID-19 diagnosis

(Reuters) - Herman Cain, a former Republican presidential candidate and supporter of President Donald Trump who pointedly refused to wear a mask during the coronavirus pandemic, has died after contracting COVID-19, his website said on Thursday.

Cain, 74, learned of his diagnosis on June 29, nine days after attending a Trump rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he and many others crowded together without wearing face masks aimed at preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus.

He spent most of July in an Atlanta-area hospital.

Then there's this scientist's report which was particularly interesting:

'Finally, a virus got me.' Scientist who fought Ebola and HIV reflects on facing death from COVID-19
30% chance of dying if you end up in a British hospital with COVID-19

When it comes to Covid-19 there are two camps...

one who deal in science, facts, and precautions...

and...

the kind of person that would go to Sturgis/Miami Beach/Underground Clubs/Gyms/100+ person weddings at a church/restaurant (like in SF last week where even the bride and groom got Covid19)...(you know Karens and Brians!)

Now...if AFM can get a date for a race...I'll be there to watch...but in a multi layer mask, very socially distant and sleeping in my van...but I'm still guessing that the whole season is AWOL...not even sure there would be a 2021 season...

My cousin is the #1 women's Bicycle XO for USA (2019 World Champion), and she is now thinking Tokyo 2021 may not happen...right in the middle of her prime and being top seeded...so sad...everyone has a story it seems...

Sorry to hear that. It really sucks for world class athletes that have been dedicating themselves to an Olympic sport.. and many others too.

She must be bummed.

The Florida Daytona was in early March and mostly out of state bikers attend. I don't think current numbers have anything to do with Bike Week.

Nice try, though.:)
