How about going with,

Reputable news source is reporting that actual official type person had announced that the person is being called a terrorist, not a murderer. He is from _____________ and other factual information that is confirmed and not just from barfer4336784

As for the attack, it's interesting to me how the victim count was so low (6 dead, 11 injured). Makes me think this guy wasn't the brightest bulb.

Doesn't have to be political discussion.

As with Europe, trucks seem to be a weapon of choice, easily obtained, no real way to restrict their use.

Consider other tactics like using airplanes, car bombs, pack pack bombs like pressure cooker types, the truck has stayed around and hasn't evolved into something else, lime a carrier for explosives, yet (there was the home grown one). So far it has just been the truck itself as the weapon.

How can you defend against it when there is an entire industry to server customers needing a truck and only a driver license is needed to secure one?

Maybe terrorists have figured out that trucks are the one thing nearly impossible to restrict and once in their possession (terrorist) nearly impossible to detect or intercept.

Anyone carrying bags gets a cautious look. Hoodie with a backpack raises concern. A Uhaul truck going across town? Not a blink by most people and just stopping them wouldn't work.

In a society where rental transportation is so ingrained have the terrorists found their perfect weapon?

Just odd that this is a choice for terror since something like 100 people per day die in auto accidents in this country.

8 dead unfortunately BTW.
"Where u getting this from?" Well obviously outdated information.

What one could chime in is if they're actually from NYC and know the bike path. I personally never even visited that corner of Manhattan, that close to seeing NJ. Maybe it's been beautified more recently.

This hits home for me. I grew in NYC and I have ridden the West Side Highway bike path.

I do a lot of bicycle commuting here in the Bay Area, but if my life was slightly different, I would be in NY and riding that bike path regularly.

The Mercury just posted a picture of a suspected mob robber.

He was looking for money to spend on hair wax and ascots.

RIP riders.

Since they took the perp alive, I truly hope that justice is served responsibly and without any violation of his safety or civil rights. IMO one of the things that feeds crimes like this is that these terrorists perceive that they stand on higher moral ground than Americans. If the process of justice is carried out in a way that generates no excuses or sympathy for this murderer, it may highlight that even our institutions stand on higher moral ground than these religious zealots.

And than French, don't forget.
And than Argentinians? 5 of them, not just two victims
And than Belgians? One Belgian
