Some of my friends' jiu jitsu gyms are opening again but mine still isn't. Jealousy intensifies.

Might do some drop ins at local schools.

This is a handy chart of what new activities are allowed as of today...
https://www.sccgov.org/sites/covid19/Pages/public-health-orders.aspx

For Santa Clara County, the order reads:

All Essential Businesses are strongly encouraged to remain open. But all businesses are directed to maximize the number of personnel who work from home. Essential Businesses, Outdoor Businesses, and Additional Businesses may only assign those personnel who cannot perform their job duties from home to work outside the home.
...

There are updates linked at the top of the order, but do not seem to affect that statement.

My company is basically ordering everyone to return to the office. Our business is declared an essential business with an approved site specific protocol. A lot of us have been able to work from home, and much more productively at that. At least I'm glued to the PC 16 hrs/day and often tending to emails and other requests. Also, in company guidelines, they say a mask is not required when in your cubicle. The order says masks are required while at a place of business.

So, is it a violation of the county health order to return to the office? Is there more detail that I'm missing? This is the order that I'm reading, with updates in effect on June 5th.

Stupid on the office stuff. There's a real easy solution for that; occupancy limits in commercial from the fire Marshall. Change those to 1 person/ 250 feet.

Occupancy limits are stated as 1:300 sqft, but that is gross.

The latest is exposure protocol. Secondary exposure is that you are exposed to a positive case. After 4 days you need to test. A negative result means you are cleared to return to work, no worries.

That scenario means to me that an employee learns their spouse is positive on Monday (the spouse quarantines to eliminate exposure), the employee gets tested on Friday and learns the result is negative on Saturday, so they are cleared to return to work on Monday.

WTF?
