Overnight rain again shortened available track time for everyone. Alex Lowes didn't even get on track until 2:00pm. Rea sat out the entire day. Camier had a big crash and went to the hospital to have his shoulder checked though he returned to the paddock a few hours later apparently unhurt. Gerloff had what was described as a "nasty" crash at the end of the day but suffered no injuries. While Wednesday's fast times were set on race rubber, reports say that Redding, Davies and Lowes set their fastest Thursday laps on qualifying tires.

Gerloff says he loves the Pirelli race front but it still figuring out the rear tire. He improved his Wednesday fast time by six tenths today.

Next test in two weeks at Jerez and then winter break until January.

Thursday times:

Scott Redding (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) 1’49.929 – 60 laps
Chaz Davies (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) 1’50.185 – 30 laps
Alex Lowes (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) 1’50.653 – 50 laps
Toprak Razgatlioglu (Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team) 1’50.657 – 36 laps
Michael van der Mark (Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team) 1’51.088 – 20 laps
Garrett Gerloff (GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Junior Team) 1’51.133 – 25 laps
Federico Caricasulo (GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Junior Team) 1’52.477 – 39 laps
Leon Camier (BARNI Racing Team) 2’03.047 – 4 laps

I purchased MotoAmerica`s Live + last year and would like to do the same for WSBK. Do they have an app or is it a website?

WorldSBK has a live streaming package similar to MotoGP. I believe its 69 Euros for the season. They have an app but I haven't used it so I can't comment on it.

https://secure.worldsbk.com/en/subscribe

All the races are streamed live or on demand. They show every race, one of the Friday practices at the Euro rounds, (but not the fly away races), Saturday practice and qualifying. There are highlights and interviews with the top riders and the end of each day.

There is also a No Spoiler page you can bookmark so you don't have results spoiled when visiting the site to watch on demand.

SuperGlu taking one of his Turkish protegés to WSS on a new team.

Can Öncü joins WorldSSP grid with all-new Turkish Racing Team

Turkish Moto3™ star Can Öncü will switch from the MotoGP™ paddock to join the Turkish Racing Team squad in the 2020 World Supersport Championship. The youngest ever Grand Prix race winner from the Valencian Grand Prix in 2018 (15 years and 115 days) will join the Italian team and aim to return Turkey to the front of the World Supersport Grid. The new team comes as a collaboration between Puccetti Racing and Orelac Racing, whilst Kenan Sofuoglu and the Turkish Motorcycle Federation have also supported the move.

Only 16, Öncü has had a glistening career in a very short space of time, with him starting off in the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup™ in 2016. Finishing ninth in his first year before achieving third a year later, Öncü also competed in the Red Bull Rookies Cup in 2017, also finishing third and taking four race wins in each Championship.

2020 Schedule.

No Laguna (yet) or any US round listed. No more Thailand no more ending the season in Qatar which is fine with me. Barcelona added as previously reported. Oschersleben is back after many years away.

old and slow
There's a hole in July to fill, but I can't see them doing a US round sandwiched between two Euros, especially when they're going to Argentina to end the season. Laguna is also busy in the fall. Who knows... maybe we'll end the season.

MotoAmerica already has July 10-12 scheduled for Laguna which is usually one week after a European round. The Suzuka 8 hour is the weekend before Oschersleben so nothing else is going to happen in July except the possible Laguna round.

not Stan
thats a busy Spring for Italian fans. Mugello is in btw the 2 SBK rounds. I wonder if ticket sales can support that many events, or if everyone will just go to GP.

with all the latest Laguna drama, nothing seems to be really confirmed. rumors are stronger still that WSBK is not coming, which will prob make life difficult for MA too.

im glad to see SBK finally fixing their schedule and getting ride of the stupid-long summer break.

WSBK Official off-season tests start up again this week at Jerez.

Hopefully, we'll see the new Honda team/bike but I'm not sure they will be in Spain or the following test at Portimao. The HRC-backed effort isn't making its official team presentation until February 21st which is the traditional Philip Island test and just one week before the season opener.

Team Presentation dates:

19th January – Kawasaki Puccetti Racing (yesterday)
21st January – Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team
29th January – Kawasaki ParkinGO Team
6th February – Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK
12th February – ARUBA.IT Racing – Ducati
21st February – Team HRC

Heavy Rain overnight kept bikes off the wet track at Jerez until noon. Weather was cool and damp most of the day. KRT didn't even send Rea or Lowes out for any laps. Gerloff was able to turn some decent times relative to the conditions.

The debut of the Honda was the only the debut of the Honda. The bike looks really small even with Bautista on it. I'm still trying to find some good photos.

After years of promises, it appears Honda is really serious with the new bike and team.
