Are you waiting for gifts from China?

If you are I hope they weren't in one of these containers. I predict some unhappy folks won't be getting their (made in China) gifts in time for Christmas. Even if your gift wasn't one that took a dive, the others on the ONE Apus will be delayed in transit. M5rX5EWmWVk So, are you awaiting...

They Make Patients Die Alone, And We Let Them

Having just gone thru my fathers death (non-covid) while he was still living at his house we, the family, had thoughts of what would happen if he were in a hospital and we weren't allowed in. Just didn't seem like a way to let someone depart the world of the living... alone. By administrative...

Finally, a good anthem for C-19

Given todays "stay at home" orders for the rest of the year, this song seems to ring true. And, it could be used for other of life's pains as well. cE4lpSFNFUE sidenote: Ever since I left the military (Vietnam era) I haven't been to good about "following orders".

SF moto thief arrested 13 times

Good info George! Sad that it (always) seems to come down to $$$. As for the last sentence in your reply I'd be for a good public tar-and-feathering and drag down the street behind said stolen moto. Shouldn't cost the county anything. (and the tar may patch a few potholes)

Covidween -- What are your plans?

I went light on the decorations but had to put out a few. The neighbors thanked me for showing at least a little spirit. Had two plans for trick or treaters... 1. RC truck them some treats at the sidewalk and walkie talkie a "Happy Halloween" from the front window. -or- 2. Tell them "It's...

School me on trailer hitch motorcycle carriers

I've gone thru a few hitch haulers and am currently using the VersaHaul. Gave my Joehauler to my son. The VersaHaul is a bit heavy being all steel but with a 600lb rating it needs to be. Haven't tried connecting a trailer to it, although it is set up for this. I also have a Kendon 2 rail...

    Air Quality Monitoring Site

Given the constant changing air quality (from smoke) I decided to see if I could find a site getting it's data, real time, from local air monitoring stations. The watered down versions (pun intended) from the media left something to be desired. So, I found this site - Real Time Air Quality...

    Wildfire Ash on your Vehicles

As many in the Bay Area and beyond may have noticed over the last few day's there's a layer of ash settling on things. Including my new Colorado pickup. I was concerned as to whether this could cause damage to the paint so I researched. THIS site pretty much matches what I found on various...

    Ever heard of Double Tubing?

I stumbled on this video of a guy doing a "Double Tubing". I had never heard of this before and was wondering if anybody here has? Seems like it could add a little flat protection, similar to Mr Tuffy tire liners I use to help minimize thorn type flats on my Mtn Bike. Also, of course, it will...
