$20 says you are barely unweighting the forks
Seriously though Zach, you're riding for all the wrong reasons...
Power wheelies are one thing (although I still think your bike control is FAR from ready for that) but balancing point wheelies are asking for trouble, there is a reason stunt bikes are usually beat up. You shouldn't expect to hold a wheelie very long, unbalanced wheelies means acceleration is necessary, thus the motor is spinning up, and will redline eventually.
"A bike is not a Liability, the person riding it is the liability. The bike only does what you tell it to."
Your profile quotation... listen to it. You don't know how to tell the bike to do a lot of the things you're asking it to do.

Which is why he came here for help, so how about we do that?
:thumbup
So if I had never ridden, walked into a dealer, bought a 1098, and then came on here and said I can't get my knee down while sliding the rear like I see the pros doing, you'd go right ahead and start explaining the art of trail braking?
the R6 is the new 1098 holy shit I need to get on that!
Btw would you teach your son/daughter how to wheelie if they are in high school?
Jordan i have seen you pop the front end up myself. never mind about the wheelies. im trying to learn the proper way to be a liability! just kidding, but i want to learn how to wheelie. nothing fancy just a short wheelie.
ps, power wheelie or clutch wheelie... your still doing a wheelie. some even say clutch is more predictable and controllable :thumbup
Never said I had anything against short wheelies (see avatar), I was rather specific. I said I don't think you have the bike control skills as of yet to be attempting wheelies, especially on public roads.
gotcha, ill go somewhere in gilroy where my aunt lives. nothing but miles of farmroad!
