any muscle car owners in here?

Recedite, plebes!
Well, kinda, sorta, a thread jack....
Where can I get a new hydraulic jack (replacement) for my engine host? Originally bought it at Kragen's but the don't carry that line anymore and couldn't order just a "jack". Hadn't used it for a couple of years and now the POS won't hold pressure when trying to lift/hold a little 'ol SM420 tranny. :laughing And No, it's not low on fluid. Need to get it replaced or fixed so I can pull a SBC out of a '64 P/U I'm parting out. (Anyone need '64-'66 Chevy P/U parts?)

Or should I attempt to rebuild it (If I can find the seals) or get it rebuilt someplace? Suggestions...
Thx

Find a place that rebuilds/sells hydryaulic rams, they should be able to fix it for you cheaper than finding a replacment. Up here in Chico area the place is Thomas Hydraulic.

I had this until Oct 3 last year.

Shit that sucks! Sorry about the crash. I'd have to see the tail lights to know the exact year, but is that a '70 Olds 442? The '70-'72 models look a lot alike from the front so I memorized the tail lights to instantly know the difference between those three model years.

Back in the day (1987) I had a '70 Cutlass with torque monster V8 455 engine (not the W-30 just the regular motor), and coincidentally enough to your situation...had my first-ever car crash in it thanks to the rain. :x

A big rainstorm flooded a ditch that wouldn't drain, I come around a corner late at night to see nothing but HUGE DEEP WATER covering the road due to the plugged ditch, when I hit it the water I felt the rear of the car rise up as it hydroplaned, spun around backwards and slid down a gentle hill thru a barbed-wire fence into a cow pasture.

My Cutlass was just a regular model, it only had one-wheel drive, no Posi-Traction. But it had *bucket seats* which was quite rare for 1970, back then everything was pretty much a vinyl bench seat. My seats had a couple rips, and since the car was already 17 yrs old, the exposed seat foam would crumble like a Saltine cracker if you touched it. :laughing

1970. I bought this car in 1995 and brought it with me from Chicago when I moved out here 4 years ago. I have driven this car in snow, on ice, but that damn rain got me good.

I suppose. Not long enough in my book though.
On another note..........it died in San Jose about 25 miles from where it was built......Fremont.

Muscle car for the new gen? Dig my CTSV.

Get the the how fast does it go?

140 before I have to turn left (Thunderhill).

Really hankering to let it fly and see if the top speed is true.

I've had various muscle cars from the 60s, all Fords, but nowadays all I have is a new gen muscle car. 2012 Boss 302. :)

Got my motor in...

I NEED POSI!!!!!

:laughing

Same issue I had with my '70 Cutlass w/455...I stomp the gas, the car doesn't move forward much because it's roasting the right rear tire. :p

Strangely...back in the '80s I knew a guy with a built-to-the-gills Maverick in bold blue that looked kinda like yours. He takes me for a ride in it, I get whiplash from the massive acceleration then BOOM the rear end shatters as the rear gears shred, and we coast to a grinding halt. :nchantr
