We've left notes before and they were just ignored. Can you leave a note in your mailbox for the postal person?
Anecdotal, I know, but:
Do to the laws that govern my industry, I must mail every one of my customers while I do business with them. It has to be certified mail. I also ship very expensive stuff to clients weekly. In 25 years of doing business with the USPS I’ve never ever had any issues ever, except once when a package I shipped broke apart (totally my fault). They issued a check to reimburse me (it was insured), and a while later I got the whole package back with an apology. That one issue was about 20 years ago. To give you an idea of how much business I do with them, I spent $860 there yesterday alone and I need to go back tomorrow.
They have always been awesome and easy to work with IMO. I also don’t have any special account or anything with them. I have to walk in and wait in line like any other customer. I know others have different experiences but that’s my story.
I have the same thing going on with UPS. My package has been siting in Lodi since 1/30.
I could have driven out there and picked it up by now. :mad
So, I ordered a pool light and I've been waiting for it, but twice now, I've been told that it was 'available for pickup' (Monday AM and Wednesday AM) but it doesn't tell me where it's located and why the fuck would I want to go pick it up when I already paid for priority mail?
Then I try to call somebody there but you can't get a human being to talk to.
Has anybody else gotten these BS messages?
I do not even understand how you are getting messages from the Post Office.
Tracking. It's a priority mail package.I do not even understand how you are getting messages from the Post Office.
I have a side biz that requires the use of Priority Mail via USPS.
In years past the “expected delivery date” (and delivery) was always 2 or 3 days, even to the East Coast. Starting last summer the estimates didn’t change but deliveries took more than a week in some cases and it’s continued.
How in the hell can they continue to market this product as a “two day” delivery?
I am in the same boat but have not gotten any complaints. people seem to understand. There is a deliberate effort ongoing to break the USPS and privatize it (And break the largest union in the US). I can't believe no one has mentioned (lack of) DeJoy yet. F that pig.
Shipping is slowed all around though, is it not? My experience tells me yes.
Didn't want to get this no kicked to PoliSink
