Order from Clarke Manufacturing. You can also order through dealers but there are no discounts offered so don't expect to find anything new below their asking price. You can hunt around on ADVrider.com or Thumpertalk for used ones.

I'm very happy with the Clarke tank on DRZ. Remember to blow out any additional plastic from the inside of the tank before installing. Getting a longer fuel line makes installation much easier.

I have one Blue. Thought of doing long dual sport rides on the DRZ, but looks like it is never going to happen :(. Located at Mountain View.

Hey there,
Where can I get those Clarke Tanks at 3.9 gal? I need one for my 09 DRZ sm.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Quick questions for you DRZ people. Can the right side generator cover (the cover that is slightly similar to the clutch cover on the left) be welded? Is it magnesium? Can magnesium even be welded without burning? A car side swiped me and left 2 very small gashes where it made contact. It looks like someone cut (2) 1" cuts with a sawzall blade. Hardly any denting what so ever. I would appreciate any help you have to offer. Sincerely, Way to cheap to buy a new one, but not cheap enough to JB weld

JB weld is for people with no skillz. I have an alum spool gun at home, but that link you sent me to said it was magnesium. If that is the case, I am going to fork over the $250 for a new one. Then buy that case saver. THANKS!:thumbup

The case savers had saved my bike many times.
Don't forget to file down the sharp point off the back on the shifter.
It can pierce the case in a fall.

I may be back in DRZ business here soon.... selling the Bonneville and hoping to nab a DRZSM from a dealer soon to follow.... would wait for a 2013 and those thuper blue wheels, but 7g's for a DRZ? Y'all CrayCray. Now...would any of you guys buy a DRZ with 17k miles?

I bought one with 16k miles... (8k on the engine). Took me six weeks of dismantling, cleaning, restoring, replacing, rewiring, re-torquing, and a LOT of vision to make this:

Looks great Kedo! WAY better bike than you bought originally.
Way to patiently bring another one back from the edge.
We need to do the Petrolia loop soon.

Yea-buddy! I'm ready for P-loop! Did the Kneeland/Maple Creek/Blue Lake run today solo. It is good to be alive AND on a SuMo! ;-)

Thank you! UFO Plastics from Wheeling Cycle Supply, IMS 3.2 tank - came in white. Decals??? What decals? That's up to the individual to work out. Have fun! -K

I am interested in getting an off road drz400 that I seen on craigslist and converting it to street. Is this legal in California or did the laws change?

The laws changed in 2004. Its very difficult or impossible to convert bikes with offroad VINs to street anymore. There are so many good DRZ-S or SM models available at reasonable prices that its pretty cheap to buy the street legal bikes and upgrade them.
