MrIncredible,

So sad about the Falcon. :(

But I'm sure in a few months that 'ol J20 will be rocking and rolling!!!
Probably something like this, but sporting a canvas top for the cab and maybe the bed. :thumbup

'79 Gazelle, replicar of a '29 MB SSK. Found in a field rotting away, deeply oxidized to a chalk pink not running for crap and no brakes. Spent a year sanding, polishing and rubbing out the body and a complete restore of the interior. Sits on a 12" shortened Pinto drive train with a V6 and auto. Runs like new and stops too!

Something to think about if it is a beater jeep some guys around here have been rhino lining their vehicles to protect from scratches and stuff. I think it actually looks kind of nice it gives the vehicle a matte finish.

I've definitely mulled around the idea of getting an old(er) wrangler 4 door purely for beater purposes and rattle-canning it with the military krylon stuff we use on humvees. Hit some branches? No worries, spray it and keep going.

I considered it but if I ever change my mind it's horrendous to remove.

I bought some rustoleum and a roller.

Though I did consider chalkboard paint and letting my kids have at it.

Re Tired Not Dead
A wash with soapy water and a soft-scrubby on the Rustoleum will give it a nice matte finish. It may take a couple of washes to achieve the matte look all over the JEEP. Wait...did I say wash it? I'm so sorry. I misspoke. I meant - go drive it. It has achieved a certain patina by simply existing for this long. Too nice and some JEEP freak will steal it.

A friend of mine painted his dart with housepaint leftover from a job and a roller when we were in HS. It was hilarious. Flat white interior paint for the body and a hideous pale yellow for the vinyl top. Good times.

Sorry about the falcon MI.

Except.....that's not a three person boat.

It's a rowboat with a capacity of 350 lbs.

And I weight....210 and the little one weighs 40......and the big is one is up to 60 plus the gear and.....

Hrm. Things are tight.

Granted the season is over, but, I need a better boat.

It's not really worth fixing, but, my dad bought it new and used to take my brother and I fishing in it, so of course I'm going to fix it.

I cut out the rotten bits and filled 'em, then wrapped it in fiberglass mat/epoxy and sanded it...somewhat smooth.

Then I put a fairing epoxy on the hull.

I hacked apart the broken oarlocks and stuck a piece of fiberglass in there with a bronze oarlock, and then built it all back up.

Then I primed the interior (cars are easier btw).

It was too cold to spray, so I brushed it on.

Did you know rub rail is stupid expensive? Like $140 for the wee little boat that might be worth the same. So I made my own.

Look at this beautiful fixture. Scrap wood. Carpet blade. Vise grips. Patent worthy.
