Alan Simpson, the Senator from Wyoming calls senior citizens the Greediest Generation as he compared "Social Security" to a Milk Cow with 310 million teats.

Here's a response in a letter from PATTY MYERS in Montana ... I think she is a little ticked off! She also tells it like it is!

"Hey Alan, let's get a few things straight!!!!!
1. As a career politician, you have been on the public dole (tit) for FIFTY YEARS.

2. I have been paying Social Security taxes for 48 YEARS (since I was 15 years old. I am now 63).

3. My Social Security payments, and those of millions of other Americans, were safely tucked away in an interest bearing account for decades until you political pukes decided to raid the account and give OUR money to a bunch of zero losers in return for votes, thus bankrupting the system and turning Social Security into a Ponzi scheme that would make Bernie Madoff proud.

4. Recently, just like Lucy & Charlie Brown, you and "your ilk" pulled the proverbial football away from millions of American
Seniors nearing retirement and moved the goalposts for full retirement from age 65 to age, 67. NOW, you and your "shill commission" are proposing to move the goalposts YET AGAIN.

5. I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying into Medicare from Day One, and now "you morons" propose to change the rules of the game. Why? Because "you idiots" mismanaged other parts of the economy to such an extent that you need to steal our money from Medicare to pay the bills.

6. I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying income taxes our entire lives, and now you propose to increase our taxes yet again. Why? Because you "incompetent bastards" spent our money so profligately that you just kept on spending even after you ran out of money. Now, you come to the American taxpayers and say you need more to pay off YOUR debt. To add insult to injury, you label us "greedy" for calling "bullshit" to your incompetence. Well, Captain Bullshit, I have a few
questions for YOU:
A. How much money have you earned from the American taxpayers during your pathetic 50-year political career?

B. At what age did you retire from your pathetic political career, and how much are you receiving in annual retirement benefits from the American taxpayers?

C. How much do you pay for YOUR government provided health insurance?

D. What cuts in YOUR retirement and healthcare benefits are you proposing in your disgusting deficit reduction proposal, or as usual, have you exempted yourself and your political cronies? It is you, Captain Bullshit, and your political co-conspirators called Congress who are the "greedy" ones. It is you and your fellow nutcase thieves who have
bankrupted America and stolen the American dream from millions of loyal, patriotic taxpayers. And for what? ........Votes and your job and retirement security at our expense, you lunk-headed, leech. That's right, sir. You and yours have bankrupted America for the sole purpose of advancing your pathetic, political careers. You know it, we know it, and you know that we know it.

And you can take that to the bank, you miserable son of a bitch. NO, I did not stutter. EVERYONE!!!

******

P.S. And stop calling Social Security benefits "entitlements". WHAT AN INSULT!!!!
I have been paying in to the SS system for 38 years “It's my money”-give it back to me the way the system was designed and stop patting yourself on the back like you are being generous by doling out these monthly checks!

Nice. Medicare is actually far from self funding. I have been on it two years and probably have already used up half of what I paid into it since inception. It's a disaster. Social Security is exactly as described. I probably won't ever get back what i paid in. And yes, the politician is a despicable leach.

The mere fact that someone wants to be a politician disqualifies him for the job.

I want "None of the above" on my next election ballot.

Social Security is by definition an entitlement. It's just a shame that the pundits have abused the word to the point that hearing it sounds like a curse coming out of a person's mouth.

Run that by me again. Medicare is an entitlement. It's an unfunded gift to senior citizens. The meagre tax on income to cover it's cost does not come close to offsetting the actual cost.

Social Security is more or less self funded. Though the cash flow is now negative, it's still got years to go before the surplus is used. Congress did seize the funds, and issue worthless bonds to the social security administration, but that's bureaucratic theft not a problem with social security. The debt owed to social security is just as real as the debt owed to China.

I believe there should be no more "career" politicians and that they should be limited to one term in ANY office. Make the term 6 years. But one term. Take away their benefits and make sure that any legislation that applies to you and I, applies to them too. No more retirements-ride the 401(k) train like everyone else does. Same with healthcare.

I have a feeling things would be different if the career people were gone.

Most especially that part.

Let's see. My first social security payments were in 1962. I was living in Germany and worked at a Armed Forces meat processing plant. It paid, gasp, no lie, 55 cents an hour. (Equivalent to German wages at that time). They took social security out of that. O, yeah, here I am fifty years later STILL paying into the system.

BTW, for anyone who wants to know what inflation really means: In 1962 gas cost me 25 cents a gallon and hamburger was about 30 cents a pound.

Major PITA
Soscial Security was never an interest bearing account. That would lead one to believe that we all have an account in our name that we fund. Never true. SS is an INSURANCE policy. and works like one. You dont fund your own bike policy ,you fund all the current claimants with the belief that when you need it it will pay you too. Same for SS.

Yah, well my social security check comes in a week, and I'm making plans for the track :twofinger

You kids keep working, I enjoy lying around and sucking off the tit.

The best plan is not planning on Social Security being there when you need it. I've been putting money elsewhere for years with the goal of not having to rely on or even expect Social Security in my older years.
