as others pointed out the 1st gen integs have a 1.6L DOHC motor, specifically the D16A1, which is very similiar to the ZC.

Ah. Yeah I didn't realize that there were any dohc d series motors. I thought they were all the little single cams in the civics.

Btw Shaun, I've been thinking of selling my 95 integra for a while now. If you're interested, I'd let it go to you for fairly cheap, since I know I'd need to call in some moto labor eventually anyway. :D

So, how many miles were on that belt?

And I'd replace the idler pully bearing while I'm at it.

i love timing CHAINS, except for the one that was originally on my 63 lincoln that had a steel chain and nylon teeth on the gear. wtf were they thinking?

Same thing on my old 72 chevy truck. Solid truck in every way except that one. Lower gear crapped out at 90k miles. It was 20 years old at the time, but still... only 90k. :(

well i think its finally fixed.......

100 for tow
175 for timing belt kit, with water pump & gaskets/seals
50 for new plugs, ignition rotor & cap.
45 to get the stupidd pulley bolt off.
280 for a new distributor.
265 for new muffler & cat

grand total...915 for a old beat up integra :cry

hopefully testing goess well today!!!!!!!!!!

Zoikes! Well it'll have another 100k miles without incident after this money, so it's worth it.
