Heal up man, broke my femur about 9 years ago. Sounds like you will get through it just fine. Your gf is a saint and is a keeper. When do you start your PT? That was the hardest part for me, but you seem to be in better shape overall than me. Keep your head up, it will pass.

Thanks my man. Yeah my overall body strength dropped pretty hard on this one. I start physical therapy on the 12th. Other then that I'm getting myself out of bed and on crutches. Taking daily shits, using maybe only 1 oxy a day now cut down from a week ago I was taking 4-6

How did your PT go today? Hope you are doing good, take care.

I had the most amazing physical therapist in the world. I have never been into eastern medicine or holistic things. This guy though worked with energy and breathing and was so simple and knowledgable I didn't know how to respond. He has my foot moving more then I ever thought was possible and said by the end of the 4th session in 2 weeks I should be able to walk with a cane... This blew my mind and I'm still in complete awe.

thanks brotha..! yeah it's taking time, I thought it would be a crazy up hill battle but I have become super zen about this whole thing and just hope everyday I wake up I can do more then the last day. That has been the case so far and I can only see it getting better.

anyone who snapped their femur... Did you have really bad pain in your calf when you finally started bearing weight on it? I get up and it's almost hard for me to put my foot flat when I walk. I know I had traumatic damage to nerves and tendons I'm just freaking out about the whole thing and want to make sure I'm not the only one

Take it slow. You broke a big bone. It will take a while to come around. If you need support, ask.

For me it was my foot, it felt funky the first day or two. Nerves man, what can I say? They take a little bit of time to get used to things.
