Not as fast as I look.
Well, I am glad someone finally got some giggles out of my b.s. I thought it was funny. (Of course, WSBK was called the Ducati series for quite a few years for several reasons.)

I am glad to see MM looking better. I always liked that guy's riding. I think I still want an Ape, instead of a Kwak, even though Mr. Tom sure looks tough with double wins

also, its interesting to see a shrinking grid problem in wsbk. not so good for the cheap series.

The reduced grid in World Superbike really shows up when one or two riders are injured and cannot race. Losing both Leon Haslam and Carlos Checa from the competition today hammered home the reasoning behind Dorna's proposed financial limiting, especially after the predictable departure of Effenbert Liberty Racing. Seventeen riders competed for points in the second race, meaning only two of them wouldn't score points. With the good weather, there were luckily very few DNFs, which would have made it look even worse. When MotoGP was in this position, defibrillators were charged, flags were run up poles, mourners wailed and changes were forced through for the good of the sport. World Superbike is getting close to this stage and something needs to be done.

MM also saying its time to lift the restrictors from the Ducs, and I have to agree. I still think they need younger guys, but it would be a start

so glad to see tommy finally get the double, and in dominating fashion to boot

Can I be....frank?
Great Britain just won the most recent Moto2 race, 2nd place in MotoGP race ahead of Marquez/Lorenzo/Rossi, won the WSS race, and did the double win in the WSBK race.

Rule Brittania!

Tommy! Kawasaki for the double!

And those damn prillers getting too many podiums. This is shaping up to be a great season with Melandri in the mix too.

Not only am I happy to seeing Tommy get on the box, for both races nonetheless, and in dominating fashion, but also for Kawasaki! Baz didn't do too bad himself. I too hope to see the Duc's and Suzuki's competing again. Lastly, too bad for Rea in race 2. Looks like they made the wrong adjustments.

sykes yes, at this point I think rea has lost his chance. but where? theer isnt really any seats open, or competative rides they could get. tho Ill admit I would rather see either of them at gresini over alvaro.

Clutchlow might lose his seat to an younger moto 2 rider so forget about anyone from GP, there is no room for them in GP or nor have they really "earned" a ride in GP.

With that said, Rea did do half way decent job when he was riding in place of Stoner.

Not sure why Crutchlow will lose his seat :dunno I feel he is deserving as much as Dovi. After all, when the two were on Satallite bikes, both were the most competitive against the Factory rides. I understand there is up and coming talent, but do they (Yamaha) really think someone else could do better? Please explain.....

MM also saying its time to lift the restrictors from the Ducs, and I have to agree.

It's ODD watching WSBK and seeing Ducati so incredibly uncompetitive, something has to change. Five race weekends (10 races) gone and the top Duc is in 12th...a privateer Ducati not factory! :wtf

Factory boys are 13th and 14th.

Checa has been too banged up this year to tell much about his potential on the new Duc, he did take Superpole in the first race then it's been horribly downhill from there with injuries.

In their defense...

For Alstare and Ducati, this year will be more than a stiff challenge. For a start the team is new, but the bigger challenge is the Paginale 1199 R itself. As a brand new bike, with a very radical design, every racetrack this season is going to be a new experience. The Paginale is so different to any Ducati that has gone before -rendering all previous data useless. This means that Carlos, Ayrton and the whole team have their work cut out - especially in the earlier part of the season.

Speaking of, its on BEIN from 3:30 AM to 8:30 AM. Some crazy good yummy coverage!!!

And I will make this offer, there is apparently some device out there to transfer the HD DVR recording from the DirecTV box to my PC, then make available. I'd be happy to do that and put up on my 3TB share drive and let BARFERS download the file for a one week period of time. But I don't have the box that would enable that. Perhaps there is a way to hook my laptop up?
wish I knew how to do this as I don't get BeIN TV here. ($52.99 a month Imore!) :twofinger

I missed KAW winning! :cry

Bradley smith is in the middle of a two year contract. Cal is in a one year ( he was offered a two year he declined and singed a one year deal). Yamaha is keen to sign pol espargaro, Abd already has him on precontract. They want him at tech 3 with a full factory bike.
So cal may lose out on a ride because of this. he went with a one year deal because he wanted to bea factory rider (he was the front runner for ducati before dovi snatched that way) and at the time of signing tech 3 had yet to resign to run yamahas, so there was some uncertainty over what they would be running.

The way it works at tech three is that one rider is singed by Herve, and the other by yahmaha. Bradley is herves rider, and pol will be Yamahas. cal has already confirmed these rumors to be true more or less, as has herve.

Thanks, Kevin! Bummer for Cal, then. I guess we'll find out near the end of the season where his next venture lies. Damn shame. I like Cal and what he's contributes to the grid.

The WSBK races are free to watch online at Bein, I watched Race 2 from Donington on my iPhone while laying in bed. Pay attention. :laughing

Problem is the wifie is lying besides me in bed sleeping; I'd get a broadside of a couple dozen big cannon if I tried to watch something at that time of night...:wow

herve made a mistake signing Smith, Dovi had what, 3/4 podium on that bike and Smith is struggling to be in the top 10.

When in doubt...
Seems all the sat Honda seats should be open.

And if Rossi doesn't win a race this year does he retire?

If Pedrobot doesn't win the ship (which he should on that bike and might be his last chance before MickyMarque figures out how to ride fast :p) does Honda cut him loose?

And I know there's a Smith contract but there has to be a way out if that one.

Seems to me that it's way to early in the season and a lot of shit will shift and Cal will be just fine. Though maybe having a properly competent rider on another year developed CRT/lease/whatever bike will actually shake shit up properly and Cal on a CRT would be the best possible thing for MotoGP.

Edit:
Fuck sorry got drawn into MotoGP discussion in the wsbk thread. Though I do wonder who from wsbk would go to MotoGP next year. Hard to imagine Sykes - even if he won the ship - who has been through so much development with that kwak and team to switch out for MotoGP - just seems like a loyal guy who's loyalty has paid off big time. Does Davies still go if he puts together a good season? Maybe after next? Though his window might be closing. And who from GP ends up wsbk. The migration that way seems to have subsided...
