Wsbk exists as a vehicle for companies to showcase specific models. The rules should try to make it somewhat even without getting out of control. Hence the restrictors added if twins got too good. And why ape had to get rid of the gear driven cams

Well said! The rules will always be evolving to hopefully keep the different engine configurations close in performance. The engine variety is a very good aspect of WSBK.

It's been mostly Twins vs Inline Fours vs V-fours, Foggy and Petronas tried that Triple and had little success with it but hey at least they tried.

Eh, the inline 1000's a long time ago were restricted.

It was the Ducati cup until about 2008 or 2009, if I'm remembering correctly. Series was kinda meh until the year Spies showed up or the one before it.

And I will make this offer, there is apparently some device out there to transfer the HD DVR recording from the DirecTV box to my PC, then make available. I'd be happy to do that and put up on my 3TB share drive and let BARFERS download the file for a one week period of time. But I don't have the box that would enable that. Perhaps there is a way to hook my laptop up?

Just watched race 1. Good race. Surprised to see Sykes dominate. Looking forward to watching race 2 and seeing what adjustments were made.Oh! Hats off to Checa. Racing at this level with an injured shoulder is no easy task.

This was the weekend I've been saying Sykes need. Solid straight up dry wins, doing the double. Dominating all weekend. What a badass. Hopefully this is the step towards really being able to win day in and day out.

Guintoli retains his title lead with a set of podiums, but he needs to start winning soon.

Well, how come Burgman and Vespa get screwed out of this series, then? Might as well let 1200 cc Buells into WSS, so they can be competitive. I think that worked somewhere else?

HD has it's own series. Porsche has it's own series. Ducati can have a giant twin series, too. Or they can just run equal rules and continue to prove that twins are slower than fours.
