Been sayinh Hayden to wsbk since last year. I think it would be great go everyone involved, and the chance to win both titles would be insane

The only two things that could make it better would be him getting a WSBK title on it and then coming back to America and getting a grand slam.

When was the last time anyone heard the Ducati WorldSBK team talking about how they needed to figure out how to make their bike work? I'm guessing 20+ years at least.

Carlos Checa: "In reality I thought I'd be able to do more today and bring the bike to the next level. In race one the rear of the bike caused me some problems so we made some changes before the second race and that improved the situation slightly. We still have a lot of work ahead of us but this does not put us off. I'm aware that this is a challenge and I will do my best to improve the bike race after race".

Translation: "the Panigale is a piece of shit"

Ayrton Badovini: "The second race went better for me because I was really suffering this morning. I visited the Clinica Mobile between the two races and they really helped me a lot with a series of treatments that allowed me to push harder in the second race. The bike was not bad but we still need something more in order to be competitive. I wasn't 100% of course and so I'm happy to have finished both races because after what happened yesterday I thought it would be even more difficult today".

Translation: "the Panigale is a piece of shit"

Francis Batta, team manager: "This weekend was unfortunately more difficult than we expected but this does not discourage us, in fact it heightens our motivation to continue to work and improve".

I mean, they were going pretty well at Philip Island.

:dunno

kinda reminds me of the Ducati GP bike... once in a great while it works and they think they're making progress but the next time out it would be crap again and no amount of adjustment would ever seem to move it in the expected direction.

Im resevrning my judgement until the end of this season. like I said, new bike, totally different, new tea, with no experiance with ducs, etc etc

if this time next year it sucks, ill say that prez did ducati a diservice at the end of his tenure

hayden to wsbk would be absolutely awesome! he would dominate. there is something about the upbringing in AMA that just makes for really successful riders in SBK, on top of that, nicky's years of experience in motogp, i could see him winning a few titles. but we can only hope that his GP money dries up and he has to go elsewhere, because the size of his paycheck is probably pretty damn ridiculous when compared to the money he'd make racing in SBK

Multi race gp winners Barros, McCoy & really dominated wsbk... Hayden didn't exactly dominate in gp.

oh, yes!

think for a sec - upon which Mile machine might Nicky compete in AMA Pro?

separate from the timeless XR750 H-Ds & upstart Kawasaki parallel-twins,
it's a furrin' universe of Ducati, Aprilia, Suzuki & KTM V-twins
+ Triumph, BMW & Yamaha parallel-twins

no Hondas.....yet

so - if Nicky were to return on dirt, which bike would it be?

Sykes QP 2013 on a Superbike (Kawasaki): 1:35.043
Rossi QP 2012 on a MotoGP (Ducati): 1:35.057

What does this mean? NOTHING :laughing

Wishing KAW would come back out w/a MotoGP bike, & put Sykes on it. :thumbup

Bike won't matter. The Bridgestones will make or break any GP project. I do think that should Kawasaki consider a comeback, that they should wildcard (and then put Sykes on it) a round or two to get proper measure.
