I subscribe to beIN TV to watch Euro soccer, which provides pretty good coverage of Serie A, La Liga, etc., so I was curious about how they'd do with WSBK. So far pretty damn good. Comprehensive pre-race coverage, with a nice summary of superpole, and no friggin' commercials during the race!

Speed TV good riddance! :twofinger

shame about rolfo and the DNF. for a minute there, i thought mv might have a chance at a podium on their first time out. it seemed like his tires were dropping off towards the end. i wonder what went wrong with the bike?

I feel the same way about beer and whisky and sirloin steak. They should just gives us all the best for FREE! :party

How does this work for all you guys, anyway? Do you all work for nothing? If they keep doing this, I will be very surprised. Either you must pay or there HAS to be advertising to watch expensive to broadcast programs. It ain't that complicated. Someone needs to get paid. Which is why SPEED, don't cover it, no more. They ain't a dumb-bikers-on-the-web charity. Maybe bein is.

got this from an article:

american fans will benefit most from the live streaming at www.beinsport.tv. MotoGP live streaming has been available for years at MotoGP.com, but video content has been barred from WorldSBK.com because of broadcast rights. beIN SPORT promises online live streaming for the World Supersport series as well.

bein is owned by al jazzera too.

WSBK and MotoGP produce the feed, others just get the rebroadcast rights. Cheers to Being Sport for treating the feed right. I think Being Sport, with the free streaming feed is feeling out how many eyes there is for there distribution. They very well may develop a fee for view model, when that will happen may be next season since they already established a free stream. On the next session, Being Sport could charge a minimal fee if the numbers are right.

I'll have to admit to torrenting the races I've been interested in. So I've seen the coverage by BBC2 for MotoGP as well as WSBK. Its been painful to watch the US treatment of the feeds provided/contracted for local consumption.

Cheers!

Tired and Emotional
Coverage was excellent - it was like watching it in Europe again, where it's given high priority and not pushed aside for anything else that comes along.

This was one of the few rounds that I'll watch live due to the time difference, but the 5 hours flew by.

I'll give them 9.5 out of 10, and a big Thank You, BeIN.
Now if only we can get them to broadcast MotGP/Moto2/Moto3 ........

Its a calculated risk/loss for Al Jazeera/beingsport. They are getting Ad revenue across their cable and satellite feeds, and eating a bit for streaming for free just to establish viewer engagement.

Cheers!
