When will the SIP end?

Interestingly, Florida hasn't blown up despite keeping their beaches open for spring break.

BUT, I wonder how many people took the virus home with them from bike week and Daytona spring break back to their own states.

Plenty of people go to New Orleans for Mardi Gras from out of state as well.

They went home.

Archimedes, you and I are on the same page. I wish there was a "like" button I could push next to all your posts. Come to Sac. and we'll ride the American River Bike Trail up to Folsom and then we'll ride in the hills.
The SIP order is just a suggestion as far as I'm concerned. Like left hand turn arrows. Use common sense, but don't give up your freedom just because some nervous nelly thinks you should. Getting killed riding a motorcycle is more likely than SARS-Cov2 killing you (unless you're compromised in some way).
I'm guessing the SIP order will be lifted May 15th in many places but there will still be people cowering in the homes showering in hand sanitizer until the middle of the summer.

I figure may 15th some non essential businesses that people can remain masked will open up, non essential government workers will return to work but bars. restaurants, concert and sporting venues will remain shut till august.

Sounds about right, with the caveat that timing will vary by up to a month throughout the country.

I don't see the contact tracing idea going well.
Yup. Plenty of ways something like that could be thoroughly abused.

The CA State DMV is already selling our personal information to entities that it refuses to share. If a state agency will do that, what is possible with For-Profit corporation(s)?

My hospital customers who don't have covid patients will begin working this week to identify how to resume some normal patient activities.

The US had 2,387 deaths today.

Ohio had 50 deaths, they were supposed to be doing good.

Louisiana had 129.
Georgia had 46.
Texas had 45, they are on the upswing.
Florida had 72.

When is the country going to open up again?
Just read that the antibody tests have run into some significant issues. It will be weeks, possibly longer before reliable ones can start being manufactured.

Yeah not much said by G Good Hair. (TM:Boney)

County by County will make sense when they start.
Far away vs Bay Area should be different situations.

There really wasn't much he could say. Things are changing on a daily basis and there isn't enough data yet to understand the real dynamics of what is going on.

I think he felt the need to get out in front of this while talk higher up was threatening to take over the states decisions.

Otherwise, no point in a press conference, especially without adequate testing yet.

History has not been kind to places that rushed back to old habits too quickly.
