Kind of hooked on Pinks as of late. Always Fox bodied mustangs on there. Is this the cheapest/easiest platform for a quick car?
What about other stuff like 302/Pinto or 350/Vega

Might be fun to do a little junkyard shopping this winter. So what the easiest way into the twelves?

buy a ls1 camaro...

my car went 12.5 with just a stall and some drag radials and a shity 60ft. its was def capable for 12.2-12.3 as it was... u can find a decent 98-02 z28 for 6-8k easy.

the way my car is set up now should be easy low to mid 11s :) just simple heads/cam/lt's and some sticky tires. if u want u can do cam only and run in the 11s with a track set up (slicks/skinnies)

An '86-'87 Buick Grand National or '86-'87 Buick T-Type with the 3.8 V6 intercooled turbo. :thumbup

Might be easy to get into elevens, but its going to break down before you get to the race track, and that will be after spending a gazillion dollars on aftermarket parts

Fox body mustang or a Late model LS1 camaro is your very best bet, unless you don't want a late model, thats another can of worms though

I'd have to opt for a F-Body Mustang (something 85 or earlier since they are carb motors). So many aftermarket parts and cheap donor cars are all over the place.
set of gears
frame connectors and tires will get you going fast.
Insert some heads, exhaust, intake, cam and perhaps NOS git' you goin' faster.

Personally, I'd go a hopped up crate motor, since I don't have all of the time to do the machine work and other assorted nick-nacks to go fast.

I gotta respect the fact that an engine can pull over 2,000 pounds of metal and meat over the line in 12 seconds. That's fully American (read: inefficient).

Dr. Evil

Mother of God.
Probably a mid-90s Camaro or Fox-body 'stang. Just pull EVERYTHING out of it except your chair and the wheel and the engine. Then mount a Whipple blower on it and go crazy.

What about the Nissan 240SX with an inline 6? I've been told you can get a shit-load of hp out of those motors.
