What is considered a full tuck?

Just curious what is considered a full tuck on a track bike or supersport? I am not tall, 5’5” and I often lay on the tank at freeway speeds cuz the wind smack me in my torso otherwise. The other day I was riding on the freeway and I actually could get my chin on the gas tank. Is that considered a full tuck?

TIA.

Something I have never considered.
Though now, not good for street use to maximize your field of view. Methinks.

Chin right next to the tank. Knees in.

Smile under your helmet. :teeth

This brings back a fond memory:
Walking through the pits during a Sears Point AMA event with my (then) young son. We stopped at Doug Chandler's pit and he was kind enough to spend some time with us. He let my son sit on his bike while up on the stands and that's when my son asked him "what's this dent on the top of your tank? Is it there on purpose?" Mr. Chandler patiently answered "That's where my chin goes so I can get nice and small behind the screen. It just lets my head get just a few inches lower so I can go faster". When my kid asked if he was serious he responded "Absolutely! I'd shove my whole helmet in the tank if we could figure out how I would see!"
That's how you make die-hard fans.....one kid at a time.

Try riding a BeLast over 85mph on the freeway, you need all the tuck you can get, maybe even a tummy tuck.

When I was down in San Diego, it was pretty much flat out on the freeway. I used to go through a long sweeper 80+, if you tucked the front end would go into a sort of mini weave, sit up and it would go straight. Guess tucked the front end lightens and you can get some weave. Good ole days.

You should be pressing your helmet onto the tank and your butt should be as far back as it’ll go. Anything less is not full tuck.

For a more serious reply, a long time ago in a place where I could ride at sustained top speed on my 916, I found that my absolute top speed increased by three MPH when I lifted my butt a couple of inches off the seat while my chin was on the tank.

A few details not previously mentioned:

- left hand/arm should be hugging the tank (not on the handle bar). Elbow tucked in out of the wind stream.

- chin should be to the right of the tank and below the top of the tank with line of sight to the right of the instruments (not looking over the instruments). This will get your frontal area as small as possible.
