What does Kawasaki have up their sleeve??

Yea, I woke up a little disappointed. But then again, maybe we shouldn't be?

People love/hate the old school dual sport bikes. They are cheap, and we want cheap... but they don't have the latest and greatest suspension, rider aids, light weight, etc. But there's something about the simplicity and availability to the every-man and woman that makes them great.

Kwacker releases this dual sport, and it ticks a lot of those boxes... and it's cheap! $5500 new or whatever. (And they also released a supermoto version of it, too!) Isn't the rapidly inflating cost of bikes one of the larger problems with getting youth into riding?

So yea - it's not the magic unicorn we all wanted, but it sure is accessible, and will probably take a lot of people on some very fun adventures. In a market where this type of bike seems to be disappearing, perhaps we should be thankful.

:thumbup

the reality is a brand new 2021 Kawasaki Versys-X 300 would probably be perfect for me:

I can't stop laughing about this one. Look how uncomfortable this guy looks. They should have found a 4'10" model rider for this picture.

"Introducing the all new KLX300 dual sport"....so why make an "all new" bike look just like the same one that's been around since the mid-90's? :laughing

maybe they're flaunting the fact that none of the parts are from recycled content... like the napkins that say "made from 100% post consumer recycled content" only opposite?

Rolls with it...
Does that KLX300 rear shock have a massive reservoir?

Also, more intros in January; 3 side by sides and 2 motos.

Wow that is underwhelming.

One of the bikes main features is electric start?! It's not like the KLX250 was kickstart...

Hopefully they will give us something good in January.
