What do ya carry on a ride..?

A snack, water, and in this climate, lots of extra clothes/warm gear. I often find I start a ride in the afternoon and coming home in the eve it gets chilly, or rain. I just purchased textile saddlebags (the easy clip on/off kind) for my Triumph Sprint and they're the greatest $250 I ever spent!
I do not have a cellphone but I try to keep my pocket PC charged as it has all the phone numbers in it.
Chapstick, hand/face lotion are important too.
Everyone else mentioned tools but all I carry are the ones that my bike came with under my seat. I've thought of getting a tire leak prevention kit... wonder if those work?

yes, yaks can get stubborn at times .....

on a serious side, the rope/stick is in case I need to use it as a turniquette which I had to use one already for a fellow rider & BARFer.....
