What are you doing to improve your chance of good outcome with covid-19?

Dood wtf no matter what we do, these super healthy 30-50 yr olds are dieing from strokes after literally sip and no contact from others.

Thread title of article is unnerving "healthy ppl in their 30s dieing from strokes from corona"
We really don't have a grasp of this virus at all. Shit is making brain tumors in ppl faster then the surgeon can remove them... He literally says after removing the clot/tumor/lump whatever, he could immediately see them to start forming again.

Yeah, 'healthy' 30-50 year old are dying of this virus.

But, that doesn't mean that being healthier won't give you a better chance.

You are correct, we don't fully understand the virus, but if you've been paying attention to what snaggy and DR SLO have been saying, there is a good chance that a healthier cardio vascular system is likely to give you a better outcome.

You can't think 1 dimensionally (Oh nos, 30-50 years olds are dying!), you have to take in all factors.

Or, you can just accept what hand is dealt to you with no input/action from yourself. The choice is yours.

I probably should be drinking less, but if I'm not riding I need to stay sane somehow. Washing my hands more than I ever did before, guess I was kinda gross. I've been working on smoking fewer cigars as well as that and the booze got a little more frequent with SIP.

My fitness routine is the same more or less. 4 days a week focused workouts (high intensity training Tues / Thursday & 20ish mile bicycle rides Weds / Friday). Workouts are self serving, in that they make it possible for me to put in long days on the motorcycle without being wiped out but hopefully by being fit if I catch this I'll have a better chance of recovering from whatever happens as a result.

um, i agree being healthier will help you, but there are weird stats about strokes, i read some article last year with some title like "Super fit yet people are now having strokes in their 30's.

Now I read this article today these strokes are common and happen in 67+ but with corona they are infecting the 30-50 year olds alot, and way more aggressively.

No doubt, it's scary shit.

However, there seems to be a shortage of information about how many people actually get these strokes and are 30-50. Everything is hyper-covered so it may seem like a lot of people, but how many is it, really?

And, trying to grow old as fast as possible so it doesn't matter as much.

Possible yes, but it seems sensationalized. I keep seeing headlines and statistics like "Young people aged 20-54 are having strokes".

Since when the fuck (except in my case) is 54 considered young? :laughing

No doubt the press is pumping shit up, it's what they do for revenue, get people whipped up. It doesn't matter which side they're on, it's just a different message to whip their viewers up, depending on the agenda.

It almost seems like as info of some new way of dying comes in, some little weasel takes the information and scurries of to their boss, who looks at it and tries to decide if they can get a good emotional response, then adds some click-bait headline to it and pumps it up.

Also, it doesn't help that facebook has become the vehicle de jour for pumping out propaganda, that video of those two doctors from Bakersfield got pushed out there and widely distributed far, far beyond a normal path. I sense that some foreign or political power gave it a huge boost to accomplish some end goal.

I’ve been taking vitamin D, C, and zinc. I’m trying to get cardio in every day but I keep getting injured with stupid stuff. Threw out my lower back two weeks ago. Got better and started running. Then the day after I started running I spilled boiling water on the top of my foot. There goes two weeks😩

New Proven way to sterilize N95 masks !!!!!
Microwave using glass bowl full of water and a Plastic fruit Mesh type bag suspended over water Place mask on top for 5-10 minutes. The more steam Created the better . Don’t burn yourself removing.
100% sterilization success of a virus that is much much harder Shelled than Covid. This is great news for lay people with a single mask available.

Any peer-reviewed medical journals for this?

When I worked at hospital, autoclave was only way to sterilise as it reached required 250-270F steam to kill most buggers. Even so, certain low D-value bacteria, yeasts and fungi manage to survive even that.

I thought that realistically the virus was unlikely to survive (in a state where it could produce an infection) beyond a few hours, especially if in direct sunlight. All the sterilization talks seems like overkill

Unfortunately trying to post even the simplest picture in this forum gives me fits but it was a Harvard study and quite complete. Do a google search and perhaps it will pull up for posting. As stated they used a much “ harder shelled “ “harder to kill “ virus in the study as well.

I totally agree with this. The reality seems to be that this is a very easy virus to kill Outside of a host.
It reminds me of the movie Signs in the irony of it all. So easy to kill With soap and water, yet we invite it in as hosts.
