I see. This seems like modern math. Elizabeth Warren? A Starbucks Grande Latte is about four buck, but we are getting upset because an ad costs sixteen cents a day? Okay. I ain't following the whine. By the way, my opinion is that Craig's list was crap at the beginning and it is still crap, today. That's my professional latte financial market opinion.

UC reasoning "SAT/ACT scores have strong correlation to socioeconomic status, maybe something needs to be done to fix this structural disadvantage."
Eldritch comes in "Nah brah, they are just dumbshits, who breed dumbshits, and UC wants to ruin civilization."

Just reminds me of "wellfare queen" argument during Regan era, and just general bullshit logic that if you are not reach/successful it's your fault 100%.

Caught in the trap.

That is 2. Next one is a suspension.

We are probably pretty close to political bapping on this subject, but it's not just a Reagan era thing. It's a pervasive narrative, one that exists regardless of political party, though the language changes based on political party. It always comes down to saying that the problems in poor, and especially minority communities are due either solely or at least primarily to problems or deficiencies of the people in those communities, and not more systemic issues. You end up with pointless drivel about how we just need to show people the how to succeed and they will succeed from pseudo-woke left leaning people, or more pointless drivel about how it's their own fault and we should leave them to fix their own mess from right leaning people. The end result in both cases is avoiding any action that will substantially change the lives of people at the lower rungs of society for the better.

Wait, so you’re running on the alertness of all intellect while posting the same thing in the same forum TWO DIFFERENT TIMES and having to edit both posts respectively.

I’m only trying to clarify for what must clearly be the Trump supporters you’re looking to reach.

Posted in both in case you don’t know how to find the other one.

Or maybe is just the fact that far left anti capitalist groups are using a child as a propaganda machine to shield themselves from honest criticism while pushing their agenda using climate change scare mongering.

Theres no hopping on any bandwagon. Greta's parents are far left activists and her rallies in US were sponsored by the Democratic Socialists of America. The political group behind Bernie Sanders to who AOC and Linda Sarsour are dues paying members.

Also your dismissal of anyone who disagrees with far left ecological doomsday propaganda as dumb rednecks tells a lot.
Sometimes simply not living in a leftist bubble is enough.

Corb number 2.

I'm not sure where the "too political" line is and I'm not trying to step on Buds toes here
But I have to ask, if you agree with the leftists radicals behind Greta, that capitalism is the issue here. What evidence do you have that socialist planned economy would result in better ecological results?

A minor child deserves privacy and should be kept out of politics.--Melania

The hypocrisy of climate deniers and Trumpist zombies continues to be unprecedented and utterly lacking shame or self-awareness.

My counter point to that explanation is that CORB, as much as anybody else in this forum, should be able to see that the Democrats are nowhere even in the same Universe as what he experienced in his childhood. Calling people 'commies', as he does is even more of a deep insult than if most others called somebody that.

That's like walking down the street and shooting a random black person because a black person killed your wife.

Very much this. Listening to the debate last night was just Commie not so lite.
I personally hate any form of Socialism, and two months ago, in a restaurant in Lucerne Switzerland, I was regaling my dinner companions, three Brits and a Canadian, about the evils of socialism. The conversation soon passed to other topics. Toward the end of dinner, a couple next to us was leaving and paused at our table to state they appreciated my remarks about socialism. They were Russians now living in Chicago. And they commented on how evil socialism is. They had concerns about the US becoming more socialistic.

It's not about communism, I know enough about the US constitution and US politics not to fear communism here. At least not without violent revolution.
But I've experienced colectivist, marxist mindset and I know what that does to a society. And I see how far left the new left is moving and I disagree with it. That's all.
And again, Climbers bait has worked

Suspension #2 issued.

What hes actually saying is "discuss this without disagreing with the progressive pov"
None of the people posting their progressive "testimonials" for "white privilege" will get bapped for political posting. It's only political if you disagree with the status quo here.

another... from the sink.

Same old trope that if you are strongly against colectivists you must be a fascist.
I appreciate the USA specifically for its freedom and for suport of individual rights. Zero chance I have interest in far right politics.
