still alive...good game by the Sharks. good start. lots of names I don't know. I think I can get used to Jones and Martin, though. they looked like legit free agent pickups. Wilson has been very erratic with these types of pickups. let's hope they pan out. so far so good.

and how about barclay goodrow? guy has some jam. he's someone I like to root for. maybe he can be our scotty nichol of 2015

playoffs? too soon?

Half the season?!? Couture took a harder shot last night and there wasn't even a 2 min minor out of the deal. 40ish games is ridiculous for that love tap

half the season is harsh but not unreasonable, given the person in question and his history. he clearly hasn't learned a thing about how the league deals with head shots yet. it's a shame because the sharks play a lot better with him in the lineup.

love tap? that was a heck of a love tap from lifting his shoulder directly into the skull from out of nowhere, seconds after that puck was gone.

The thing is, Torres should know better by now. he's put himself in this position and he needs to evolve and adjust. He has no leniency anymore. That was a hit he could have easily not done, and wasn't needed.

I like seeing Hertl at the center position as well. He seems to have gotten that swagger back, and seeing him having fun is a good sign of his confidence.

I like Jones in net, i've only seen him in one preseason and the first game vs LA, but his composure is top notch.

Also, WTF Av's?!

nice win by the Sharks. don't know if another shutout was warranted, what with that very liberal interpretation of goalie interference applied, but it didn't affect the overall outcome of the game.

Jones is cool as a cucumber.
Cooter's starting like last year: snake bit in the goal department.
Pavs is the real deal as captain: about damned time!
Jumbo looks like he still has a few years in him
the young guys are filling in nicely
Martin is almost invisible...which is his game
Great to see Brown pot that juicy rebound. he deserved it.

all in all, a very good start to the season.

It looks like depth is killing us as we aren't able to overcome the injuries.

It's been tough to watch again this year. I find myself throwing the remote more often this year.
