Hey everyone, thanks for the support. It means a lot. I guess the bright spot in this whole fiasco is, since I retired, I now live in a wooded area with beauty all around. Ill be spending my time sitting on my porch watching nature....

...and my wife hauling wood and such. Lol

Just got out of surgery. No nausea and had some dinner. I were hungry. Knee is sore but feels pretty good. They're giving me Percocet. No stroke or heart attack, although I did lose a portion of my wits. So I guess I'm a half wit now.

Nice...a bright spot! I plan on doing the same. I'm wishing it wasn't fall with the cold temps but I am looking forward to soaking in some natural beauty while enjoying peace and quiet :)

Excellent news! And wits are overrated. You don't need `em all, especially since you're retired. Good luck with recovery. Do your PT.

Moab on my mind
Dogsitting, I put her eyedrops in and she knew after that it was dinner time. She ran around my ankles like a spaz, I stepped on her, she yelped, I lifted my weight off that leg before fully weighting it so as not to injure her, and because of that, I fell to the floor.

She looked at me like this, "What are you doing laying around? Get up and get my food."

Back home from the hospital. Dr Herring of the Shasta Orthopedic Center is The Man. Almost no pain. He went in from the side, put a plate on the break, cleaned out the bone chips and repaired the meniscus. My leg already feels 100% better. Surgery was done at Mercy Hospital in Redding. The entire staff was wonderful especially our night nurse Whitney. The entire process went smooth as silk. 2 weeks to relax then back to Dr Herring and plan recovery.
I'm feeling really good about how things went.

Well, I can tell you. Sitting around on your ass all day every day really SUCKS. Boredom starting to become an issue. Today I'm going to send my wife out to the shed and grab a Tamiya model of the Cup O Soup NSR250 that I never built. With my luck, ill do a great job, get it finished and the stupid dogs will destroy it. Other than that, I've mainly been staring out the window and vaping like a Madman.
