yeah maybe, I hear zero and energica are not even turning a profit, so not sure how quickly Kymco wants to jump in.

I just looked on yamaha taiwan,
they dont have the R1, but the mt09 is $17,823.59 usd!

That looks sweet, congratulations. I think my neighbor has the exact same one in that same color scheme. How do you get parts for it?

Well all good things must come to an end :( I knew one day this could happen but yeah bike is dead in the water was looking forward to going for a ride but the last year more and more problems start happening with my bike. I don't know of any place that services these or Brammos anymore. Will have to really contact Polaris now. I heard of several bikes having their batteries go bad. It's a shame it's such a complicated system.

Oh man that really sucks! I love all things EV but we (and most mech's) don't have the skill set, tools, manuals and part availability to service them. It is so awesome to ride/drive an EV that I just don't care!

Yeah I wish it was simple like the Sur Ron, in a sense it is but the electrical system is much more complex than the Sur Ron. It's a computer with 2 wheels. But I can't say I wasn't expecting this when I bought this bike, if anything major happens to the bike it would be hard getting professional help to work on the bike. If I bought a Zero or Energica at least I could take it to SJ BMW or Calmoto to get it looked at. :( I am pretty disappointed in the reliability of the Empulse though, I was hoping it would be as reliable as my Toyota Prius with almost 210k miles on it but it barely made it to 8000 miles.

Any news from them lately? Last I saw they were delivering a LS-218 to some guy but I haven't heard anything about that.

My understanding is they closed down shop in San Jose and moved into a corner of the Corbin factory. That's the only recent news I've heard. Hopefully someone else has more to add..

That can be said for most modern motorcycles.
When I had my Ducati, with not even all that fancy electronics, only dealerships had the fancy computer to even properly diagnose. At least one dealership regularly involved a tech from NA Ducati.

Whatever that means

I've got over 10k miles on my EVA now. It's been pretty painless so far.
