Yes it is two 19's same size front and back the smaller sur ron (Segway X160) has 17's and there is a supermoto wheel set that is 17 also.

And yes it does use downhill mountain bike suspension and it does make a great pit bike. A lot of people upgrade to the fox 40 or a 21" front. The suspension is alright but when pushed really hard it's not so good, at least with the stock suspension.

For a while now they have been using off the shelf MTB suspension components from FastAce, DNM, Rockshox, or RST. I guess they might be making their own now. It would be nice to have dual front disc brakes, everything on the Light Bee was engineered with lightweight in mind, but mountain bikes don't weigh 125lbs so trying to stop it at higher speeds is tough espeically when you try to make it twice as powerful as stock like mine =P

I've read similar rumors on other sites but looking at H-D's website they only list 2020 models. I guess we'll have to wait for them to update the site with 2021 models to see if the Livewire will continue development.

Sur Ron is a company for one thing the Light Bee is an electric dirt bike hence it is an electric motorcycle it has 2 wheels throttle footpegs (so if you think is scooter it is not). But you know what I destroyed a WRX off the line today on my ebike it sound cooler when its an ebike =p

I'm sure Sur Ron has sold more Light Bees than Livewire the future is Light Bee not Livewire =P

Btw I race my ebike against motorcycles drag race, dirtbike race, racetrack. One year they had a Light Bee race in refuel TT at Laguna.
Calling it ebike gives me more cred =p Whatever helps you sleep better at night!

Did you get the pedal option with yours? I remember seeing it mentioned in that article I linked earlier. The pedal option is what makes it tempting to me.

Nah i heard the pedal kit sucks. The gear ratio sucks. There is a newer one made by kaniwaba or something might be better. But yeah if you want to pretend to be ebike that may be the way to go, class 2 ebike and use the low power mode. I guess if you run out of juice its better than pushing.

Benefit no registration, no dot helmet, no m2 license

Hmm been hearing a lot of Sondors lately. Just saw this on Electrek. The price and specs look good. 4000wh battery, 80mph top speed, 80 miles range.

80 miles range though I doubt it. The Empulse has a 10.5kwh pack and it gets 60 miles range. So with half size pack you might be able to do like 40 or 50 miles with it.

That price too $5000 that's a real bargain, it only $1000 more than a Sur Ron and this is freeway capable. I wonder how it charges also.

It's pretty futuristic looking in a Husqvarna sort of way.

4kwh battery? Might as well walk.

I have a 2kwh pack in my Light Bee and it get's me like 30-40 miles range you'll definitely not be able to walk those distances. With double the capacity It's got be able to do better. However I don't know how efficient a hub motor is...
