Are you going to replace the fuel pump with a high volume/lower pressure pump?

Is the high pressure fuel injection pump that comes stock on a car fuel tank going to be ideal for fuel transfer. I would guess a high volume lift fuel transfer pump is a better option.

BUS passenger seat is installed and is fully adjustable, AND swivels!!!!

been awhile since an update. I havent got a whole lot done this month, but at least I made some progress.

I found this nasty teal swivel chair from an RV (craigslist); the seller said it was from a 2000 year model... looked morel like 1970 to me!! I didnt care tho, because all I wanted was the swivel base. swivel base was super nice tho, couldnt have been that old, so likely he was truthful! I then mounted a Lexus leather fully electronically adjustable seat on the swivel base....plugged in 12volts to it *crossed my fingers* aaaanddd it all worked!!! like wow that was nice and easy :wow so now it not only adjusts like a normal car seat, but it can swivel around!!! :cool

The chair in its normal, vehicle in travel position...

Improved ground points at the battery, engine and transmission

Well I read some horror stories at the diesel forums, and many say its good to make gosh darn tootin' that you got a good ground. and that I did...

First at the OEM battery. the other, 2nd battery isnt OEM, and has a really good ground already.
here at on the OEM battery it connects via these little screws on the side. I just added a ground to the top - then of course ground it to the chassis.
CAM02392_zpseu1q0tqo.jpg

Engine ground.
dead center. each ground was sanded to bare metal, the bolts wire wheeled clean then used some of whats that dielectric grease stuff upon reassembly.
then once tightened and in place, they were spray painted black.
CAM02393_zps8xxpuw7e.jpg

other end of the engine ground. kinda long, but the way it twists, it really wants to be in place where it is.

Tranny ground.

other end of the tranny ground.

also finally changed the tranny fluid, and filter. good to have that done. now all the fluids are done except flushing the brake fluid, which i hope to do soon.

as it sits, the really thorn in my side is the dashboard, which is quite taken apart. doing it is starting to become a priority, hopefully in the next week or two

well damn has it been like officially way too long since a BUS update!
granted most its because i have not been working on the BUS during winter, went on to do some LEDs on my 900RR, but thats another thread (which also, surprisingly enough, also needs and update....)

But in the last month or so, trackdays have started again and the BUS has become a priority! I've been trying to get the dashboard in for awhile now, adding a stereo, cup holder, proper mount for the cruise control panel, a boost gauge, autogauge, and a sweet analog VDO Volvo clock that I got at a thrift store cuz its so raddd

The whole dash isnt done yet, but its making good progress. i suspect another couple weeks until I can put the main plastic front piece back on "for good" and call it "done". But heres the progresso so far...

stereo head installed/mounted

the 12inch sub goes right behind the drivers seat, between it and the sofa bed.

ran the wires all proper

bought this box a looong time ago, back before I even built the bed. way back then I measured it to make sure this fit you see here would occur

nice and snuggg. speaker protector grill was ordered recently...
20160329_152855_zpstldqa89a.jpg

the speakers in the middle of the bus were about 4 or 5 inches or whatever. and really, really blown. replaced them with some sweet little units i had laying around
old VS new. new ones were aaalmost so thick that they didnt fit.... but they did in the end!

I also put some 6x9's in the back of the bus, but forgot to picture them - so i'll just include that in the next update. but needless to say, now I gots music (and beat!) in the BUS!!!!

the helmet fan shelf

OK we really must be into BUS upgrade mode, if priority is on the helmet shelf!

been long awaiting building this.... first time I will use it will be this April 18th at Thunderhill! wooots!
i suuuure am looking forward to having a cool and dry helmet!

duel 6inch, 12volt fans, on separate switches.

20160417_134404_zpsclu7lckz.jpg

gots little fuses for 'em
20160417_134339_zps1znm5z7i.jpg

put a screen on the top of each hole, so you dont have to worry about your helmet straps getting caught in the blades
20160417_134353_zpsyrd0qpkc.jpg

and with the protruding metal bolts, the helmets just stay on the shelf while in transit. So "do we have the helmets?!" is always an easy question to answer now, and they also no longer take up valuable floor space! :banana
