where do you get them?
I don't need high fashion, i am not interested in needing to keep religious track of expensive accessories. $20-$30 max

i'd like to get them online because shopping has always sucked and is even worse with the 'Rona runnin 'round.

Polarized and lightweight, flexible frame and available for Large Heads

i really wanted to like www.knockaround.com but they only have ~1.5 styles. i need the sortof Bro style sunglasses that have a wider ear piece because i really don't like the bright light coming in from the side. yes, like my nipples my eyes are also sensitive

this is approximately what i'm looking for

People really like their Maui Jim's.

I spend an absurd amount for Ray-Bans with custom ground lenses with a half dozen coatings on them because they're worth it.

Once upon a time, I'd have steered you to any Sax 5th Ave. outlet store. Quality frames for deep discounts. Bloomingdale as well. Now...selection not so good, but you may find a bargain.

Next best bet, Sunglass Hut or like kind at an outlet mall. They will have a wall of deeply discounted name brand frames. Have scored on a number of $99 priced Persol pairs over the years.

I’ve got a few piers of Maui Jim’s. I think they’re way overrated.
If you’re planning to wear sunglasses while riding you should make sure they’re impact resistant by meeting ANSI Z87 safety standards.

i recently bought 2 cheap polarized pairs at costco. Champion and Hobie. i wear the champion more because it fits my face better, but the optics kind of suck. sprt of wavy - but what can you expect for $20

Maui Jim is, however, one of the few eyewear companies not owned by Luxottica.

Just so you know, polarized sunglasses and helmet shields don't mix that well, they can make dry road look wet and wet road look dry and other illusions. As far as brand, I really like Smith, but kind of spendy unless you can find them on clearance.

Unless Luxottica is killing kittens their ownership isn’t a factor for me.

Polarized also makes it hard to read the dash gauges. I have to cock my head sideways at times to read display info. It’s annoying

thanks for the replies so far all, i appreciate it.

polarized: the reduced glare off windshields and such is important to me.

i tend to have smoked visors on my helmet instead of wearing sunglasses.

i'm in costco all the time, and the sunglasses are usually out of my price range, i'll look closer

big5 sunglass hut... those still exist? :laughing

You need cheap biker shades they sell at gas stations.

i wish. apparently most cheap sunglass wearers are pinheads. rare is the pair of gas station shades that doesn't feel like a really weak person trying to squish my head. for short durations i can handle it but generally i need to be able to wear them for hours at a time, not fractions of hours

Second hand stores and CVS are my go-tos for sunglasses. I won't spend more than $20 that's probably going to wind up stuck in the seats of my car or with peanut butter on them... That little pair that you found is what I typically look for too. I rarely find that. I don't know what it is with sunglasses, but I guess everyone is supposed to be 19, like large fake gold emblems glued onto stuff, and have pink ombre as their favorite color. That or you do big game fish for a living. It's so rando...

I have a really small head, so I wear kids-sized hats and glasses, and once in a while I'll find something that doesn't have square bob spongepants on it that works. I've seen you though--not an option. You be man-sized.

I have been wearing RayBan Daddy-os for years. No desire or need to change, that's how good I have found them. Mine are prescription so not sure about lens specs of non.

Fits great under my Arai helmet. Not sure if it blocks out enough side light for you tho. And I guess too expensive, but some things are worth it when you wear them all the time.

The RB4335's might be an option also.

I typically use Amazon or the Gas Station. The trick usually is finding them right sized for my face. Spring loaded hinges are a must.
