Hi Daren, I'm new to this track thing so please bear with the newbie questions..:party

Would my WR250X be allowed on the track for Sunday?
If so, what is the track fee for Sunday's event?

And in terms of bike prep:

*Oil Drain plugs : Is safety wiring required? (I'd need to drill or purchase a new, pre-drilled plug)

*Catch Bottles: Mine is FI so it only has one drain hose for coolant overfill, do I still need the catch can?

*I have front, rear axle, and frame sliders, but no foot peg sliders yet (I'm not so advanced as to have dragged my pegs tho)

*I have some beefy Tusk handguards installed, but no Delrin sliders at the end (is this okay?)

As for the other inspection items like taping lights and water wetter for coolant, I think I can handle them by myself:x

TKS TKS!

From your list I think the only things you still need to do is peg sliders and catch can for the coolant overflow.
I am pretty sure some balled up duck tape will be allowed as temporary peg sliders for your first time. Any small bottle will do for catch can. Ziptie or tape it to the bike in an appropriate.

Only thing I will add; tape up your lighting (turn signals, headlamp, and brake), and remove your mirrors (if applicable).

Next; Not knowing your riding experience, if you happen to ride in the B class (w/ smaller displacement bikes), please! be courteous to the faster riders sharing the track with you, and allow them to go by. In other words, don't hold them up in the corners, then blow by them on the straight, or faster sections of the road coarse. Otherwise, in the A class (larger / similar displacement), the faster riders will know how to get around you safely. Don't feel intimidated. Just hold a solid line around the coarse, and be predictable.

Last thing, you're gonna have a F'n blast and had wished you had started doing the mini track thing long ago!

See you out there! :ride

:teeth Good to hear Rick, I've ordered some peg sliders this morning but if not delivered by Sunday, I will definitely bring some duct tape with me as suggested.

Noted! I'll take care of both lighting and the mirrors on site (since I'll be riding over from Dublin early morning). By the way, from the reply above, I'm guessing it is NOT required to safety wire the oil drain plug???:laughing

ha!

Let me put it this way; being that Stockton doesn't exactly have "tech inspection, or TI team", all bike prep is expected, or "honor system". Just be sure that your bike is mechanically sound ;)

Entrance fee is $40! If you really enjoy it Allen the track manager offers a season membership that will get you your own key for the season so you can go anytime you want as long as there is no event and you get 10$ off track days.

Allen is a really laid back guy Prep your bike as well as you can and he will tell you if you need to change anything

Thanks man, $40 is a real bargain!

By the way, what is the schedule like for the day...when do folks normally show up in the morning?
