St. Valentine's

Five years ago I got smart. Found a card shop selling excess stock and bought a decades worth of birthday/anniversary/Valentine's and Christmas cards for my wife. Stashed 'em in my tool crib. Became impossible to forget an event. Wife thinks I'm wonderful.

Especially when a notable day slips in and I have a card but she has forgotten the date. Awkwardness in marriage when the husband remembers but the wife doesn't. Breaks the stereotype, no? But fun.

So, this morning, at 04:00, I go down for coffee and her card for me is on the table. Good times ! I dropped my pre-prepared card next to hers and prepared for my Sunday ride anticipating my return and a marital celebration.

Forty-seven years of Valentine's cards and it's still exciting to have someone to do this with.

You guys celebrating?

Marriage: you're doing it well if you've made it 47 years. :)

My wife got out a bunch of old valentine cards and set them up on our piano. I picked out the one I liked the best that I gave her a year or to ago and gave it to her again. Good enough. :)

Nice Pushrod. :thumbup

Wife asked me to cut my Goatee tight a week ago so for Valentine’s Day I figured it was a good thing to show I love her. Well ... she asked for a haircut too but I have my limits. :laughing

Haircut in two weeks.

She loved it.

I got heart shaped BBQ hamburgers for dinner. :love

V-day number 6 for Mrs Abacinator and I. Exchanged notes in bed this morning, went for a walk downtown, and planted some flowers together this afternoon.

Haha....My girlfriend and I grew slightly apart recently as I let my beard grow out. Once I trimmed it to 5 o’clock shadow length, she “loved” me again. :D

:laughing What's better than roses on your piano?

Hydrangeas on your harpsichord, of course. Plucked > hammered all day err'y day. ;)

Sent my wife off to her mom/sister's for V-Day this year since her sister's birthday is 2/13 and our anniversary is 2/20. She'll be back in time for the non-commercial date. :D
