I had the pleasure of meeting Moose several times. Just a few months ago Moose joined the Dirtbag Challenge ride for Saturday night camping in Mendocino Forrest. He met up with the group in Upper Lake. From there, he was happy to load every square inch of his BMWs saddle bags with beer and fire wood for the ride up to the camp site. He was a generous and caring soul. He will be greatly missed.

Not to mention him shutting people up and down the hill when my Buell got a flat. Never mind that he was on his way home.

We as a community have lost one of the good ones.

it was a very nice Memorial Service today at Tom's parish church

dozens of bike riders attended, a wide mix of folks who knew Tom from diverse elements of our local culture

following, the centerpieces on the many tables at the reception were Tom's relics - M/C parts, inhalation filters, tool boxes, & AFM trophies, etc.

co-worker & DirtBag originator Poll Brown spoke poignantly;
Tom's 1st-cousin spoke colorfully about "Moose"'s mechanical prowess & encyclopedic knowledge

a special shout out to Surj at "CIty Bike" for his pg.3 2-paragraph Tom tribute & foto in his newest edition
