BARFistan 2018

Hey Barfers, hope everyone’s doing great on here! Hopefully those of you who were following "BARFistan 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017" recognized that it was a great opportunity to eliminate some of the misconceptions most have about Pakistan.

The project was not solely focused on Pakistan though, or even motorcycles as a matter of fact. It was about adventure, getting out of the safety cocoon and familiarity of a 9 to 5 lifestyle and braving a land that you’ve seen portrayed as a war-zone. I’ve want to create more opportunities for you all to explore the hidden beauty of Pakistan’s many cultures, and have a life-changing experience (without breaking the bank and while having the best tour-guide you’ll ever have, me! {tho some might not agree, :D}). With 2018 Riding season just around the corner and BARFistan being wildly successful for the last 5 years, I’d like to host barfers again this summer.

For 2018 I'd like to accommodate each and everyone one of you so I’ve created the tour dates below, but if you cannot make any of these and *really* want to come, email me at ADifferentAgenda@gmail.com and I’ll do my best to work with you on your dates. website is up and running if you'd like to read some more www.RideTheKKH.com

Budman has been helping me out with this and you've probably noticed sponsored banners running on BARF - Thanks BUD!
For every rider from BARF.. % will be donated to BARF because this is where friends become family and this place really has given me more than it has taken.

I’ve calculated the costs to be roughly $1250 per week.

The $1250 per week covers: Food/Meals - Motorcycle rental - Fuel for the entire journey - Motorcycle maintenance during the journey (oil changes/filters/fluids/plugs) - Support vehicle (you won't have to carry luggage on the bike with you) - Hotels (shared room) - Camping equipment - All toll and ferry charges - 2 helpers who will help you with everything from riding your motorcycle when you're tired to giving you a massage on top of the Himalayas..

Not included: - Your airfare (ranges from $800)- Visa fees (approx.. $120 for an American citizen) - Insurance costs (optional) - Bottled water (cheap!). You'll also have to pay for the parts if you crash your bike. The bike is about $1200 brand new so if you throw the bike off the mountain or total it, that’ll be the extent of your liability (Small crashes dont matter, thats on me). Any other personal expenses you choose to incur (shopping, beer/wine, tips etc)

Lunch Box

Useful idiot
Don’t wait for someday. Find a way to afford it and go. This is not the type of tour that one can do on a whim. Without Moin, these tours would be nearly impossible and would certainly be less fun and safe.

As someone who has done this tour, I cannot possibly recommend it enough. It was truly a life changing experience and was pretty darned affordable for an all-inclusive three week trip.

For those of you who don’t know Moin, he is one of the kindest, most generous people I’ve ever met. He’s also fricking HILARIOUS.

If anyone has any questions that they don’t want to ask publicly, pelase feel free to send me a PM here on BARF.

Im also looking to do this one day and wish cost was my only issue! No time this year with work, and traveling 4-5 months of the year makes it hard to tell them family I'm taking off for a few weeks to ride motorcycles in Pakistan.

However, I hope to do this in the next couple years and I have a friend who is also very interested.

Definitely not the only thing. I have other responsibilities that preclude a multi-week overseas trip. It's absolutely on my list of things for the future but it's just not feasible at this point in life :)

I wish I was all that but I do agree that riding in Pakistan IS a life changing experience for sure.. It still is a life changing experience for me every time I ride up the mountains. Locals treat me with so much love and respect.. and their hospitality just makes me want to go up again and again. I promise, youll feel all that and a lot more.

Lunch Box I cant wait to ride with you again :twofinger:twofinger

Family could always come along and follow us in SUVs :)
If your friends interested ask him to get in touch, I have a few tour dates up and can always add in more dates if anyone requires different dates.

So you guys have a lot of time to plan..

This is the second year i havnt had anyone from BARF and maybe this is one of the reason that i post up the schedule too late..

what do you guys think!?!
