If you want to go down that road, then the much more fruitful direction is to address heavy duty truckers who are routinely driving while tired. Their weapon/missle/hunks of metal are MUCH more destructive, by several orders of magnitude, and they're overworked and tired. Bike riders tend to be focused and awake when going quickly.

all I am doing is refuting your "it's safe because motorcycle" argument.

Also remember recommended speeds for turns are simply that, a recommendation. If you can take the 25mph recommended turn at 50 mph, and the speed limit is 50 mph, you're just fine. But if the limit is 45 mph and you're cruising at 70, you're violating the law.

And remember that sometimes recommended speeds has to do with visibility and reaction time. Braking two wheels at 2x the recommended speed because there's a big ass fallen rock in the way can be challenging...

It's certainly not safe, but it's safer

It's not safe to sprint if you're 100 lbs overweight, it's safer if you're 20 lbs overweight, and even safe if you're in shape and run regularly.

That doesn't mean everyone should have to slow down to the fastest safe speed for fatties.

Taze away, Yana...
I just wanted to pop in to correct a tiny mistake in some people's arguments... The yellow signs are not the speed limit, they are advisory only. The speed limit of a roadway is controlled via white and black signs. The yellow and black signs are estimated safe speeds to navigate a specific corner and other useful information such as the direction of the turn.

That is all!

There is no safe and safer. Either something is safe or it is not. OTOH, there is dangerous and more dangerous. IMO.
