Rain is coming!

I skipped the waterproof socks this morning due to the forecasts I saw and only light rain when I left. Mistake. Brought a second pair of regular socks, but my "waterproof" boots will probably still be wet by evening commute.

what rain? the ground barely got wet in the south bay

If it didn't rain how did the road get wet? Also a barely wet road after a dry summer can be worse than a thoroughly soaked one.

North Bay and east bay residents saw more than you did, South Bay is only part of the bay...

:wtf

I got an hour of steady rain during my morning run in E SJ, and more steady rain for my entire commute to Sunnyvale. Which South Bay are you from?

Just sprinkles for my Campbell to Cupertino Moto commute. The roads has slippery looking soap suds from leaky vehicles, as expected.

I work in SSF so it got a good amount of rainfall. I watched this lady take this turn like it was dry and got her car sideways. Some how she managed to get the car in control and continued to bomb the next turn. Smart.

Of course the ppl in the north bay get more rain than everyone the weather front always drifts north. Its what happens in the bay.
All I was saying is it didn't rain very much here in the south bay, and its nothing to get all worked up over.
Its rain not sulfuric acid.:wtf
Some of you riding noobs freak out if there is a little dew on the road.
So the weather changes when the seasons change. Its rain, you adapt your gear and riding style, but you keep riding. Or if you are only a fair weather rider you park it.
For those who want to know I'm in the deeper part of the south MH.
There wasn't much rain here... lucky me.

Well, here in Texas is the only place I leaved that you go from a fire ban to a wake zone in the same day...
We had a storm at the gulf which turned into a tropical depression and caught us all by surprise :( and there is much more to come.

From the weather channel
An east-west band of torrential rain on the southern flank of Imelda remained parked from Montgomery County to the Texas-Louisiana border, with rainfall rates of up to 5 inches per hour. Conroe, Texas, measured 5.16 inches of rain in an hour early Thursday morning.

Current Radar, Watches and Warnings
(Watches and warnings are issued by the National Weather Service.)
In Jefferson County, some areas just south of the city of Beaumont picked up over 20 inches of rain in just 12 hours.

Parts of Brazoria, Galveston, Harris, Matagorda and Montgomery counties have picked up over 8 inches of rain from Imelda. The San Bernard National Wildlife Refuge along the coast measured 21.39 inches through 10 p.m. CDT Wednesday, while more than 19 inches has been measured in Sargent.

Thanks! I've got lucky but the damage was close to Harvey in some parts of town.
There are lots of pics going around the net about the flood but I won't put any here, It's just too depressing to keep showing them out... :(
Thanks for the good wishes... we need!
