They really got this forecast wrong, 1/100 of an inch my ass.

It was already .25 inches at 6:30am in the east bay...

Very little moisture in San Jose when I left for work. Rain in Milpitas. I got a little wet. I would like to have enough rain to wash the oil off the road not make it slick.

I didn't realize it was going to rain. I left and thought it was foggy or overcast. Arrived to work not wet but moist.

I was watching guys riding in this morning while waiting for BART in Dublin. Lots of guys didn't appear dressed for the occasion...

Not as fast as I look.

Yeah. I always worry about you commuters with the first light rains. I don't have to ride anywhere, anymore, so I need someone else to worry about. :teeth

Stay vigilant, peeps! :ride

I put on my rain pants, but they are going on six years old. Severe case of wet crotch syndrome. Think it might be time for a new pair.

Fortunately, only my thighs got wet. Bad enough that I was drying them in the bathroom with the hand dryer :rofl

It was dumping today for the commute in. They got it all wrong! It dumped, not a drizzle! No biggie though.

Lots of white soapy goodness all over the roads today.

That usually takes a few days. Or more.

Y'all be careful out there. What usually happens is that the first rains start to bring the oils and contaminants up to the surface and then the rain stops and everything dries up leaving a super slippery film of oil and crap on top of what looks like dry asphalt. Don't believe for a moment that dry pavement after the first few rains isn't slippery.

As per the NOAA Weather Discussion:

"The primary impact with this morning`s rainfall
will be the slick roadways"

I bet it was slippery out there for you bike commuters.

Whatever that means
Was nice yesterday so I was surprised to open my garage to rain this morning. I was already running late so it was a frustrating ride to work.

Today's rain predicted since last week - geared up, slowed down. Took an extra half hour due to accidents & massive gridlock. My rain bike is out of commission, it was annoying to crud up a nice shiny one. Otherwise arrived safe. Be careful everyone.
