Amazon is such a different company today. Remember when it was a "cool" company and anytime you had a problem, it was just straight up, "we got you"? It's been so much worse to watch them decline, as opposed to them just being shitty from the get go. If they were shitty from the beginning, you'd be like, "oh yeah that's just how they are".

One of the kickers I just found was a black steel tumbler , the one with silver steel bottom and edges...”no name” brand ($8) but EXACTLY like the one that’s famous.. :wtf
...but lacking the flap that shuts the drinking hole. :wow

It mostly seems to be a good day to stock up on infrastructure stuff. I'm seeing some decent deals on hard drives, sd cards, charging stations. Nothing sexy, but useful stuff. Nothing I was shopping for, but something I'm gonna need eventually and might get it while its cheap.

Every time I log on it tells me I've been a costumer since 1997 (when we'd get a little drunk and order CD's up the hoohah).... :laughing

Ahhhhh the good old days!

Was just reminiscing about Dimples the other day. Even my hip teen kid misses video stores.

Tower Records was for city folk, and special trips out of town....

We had Wherehouse(?) and the independent record (yes, record) shops. In high school (early 80's) it was a big deal to roll up to Santa Cruz to hit the record stores and head shops....

I miss Borders, always fun to go in and meander through stuff.

Edit: ... and the Columbia House Record Club inserts in magazines and Sunday papers! :laughing
