I swear looking at this thread of photos I would think the bay area is a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Why do folks still live there?

I'll add my little slice of doom to these post-apocalyptic wasteland pix without any destruction, just desert.

Kings Creek Rd

--- removed images ---

I've never made it all the way to the Vajrapani Institute and maps suggests that'd not a through road, does it in fact go through? It'd be great to be able build a route that included that road without having to go all the way to Skyline.

Edit: nevermind, I was thinking different spot.

Are we having fun yet?
Saw a sign that read - "Warning Stupid - 4x4 only when wet".

Skyview Rd is suppose to connect to Kings Creek Rd, but a big metal gate foiled the plan.

Good meeting and riding with you and Cary the other day. Let's do it again soon!

Always a treat to ride a good road for the very first time. :thumbup

really enjoy this thread, and am learning a lot about taking better pics from seeing your excellent photos and the other location shots folks post here ... :thumbup

yes, hopefully in April at the next planned StonyBARF! we were so happy when we got home that we didn't wimp out and slab it home when we got to Hwy 17 ... trying to keep up with you on Hwy 35 was the highlight of a wonderful day. :ride

I don't think Sly's (in the background) is gonna make it thru covid...

Last time I was in there during the races (WSBK) a couple of years ago a guy died on the dance floor... literally.

I generally avoid having people in my ride photos but I love this one - the lighting, the brilliant colors, how the five happy riders stood and how the picture was framed. That shot perfectly captured the moment! :thumbup (And it looks like a band album cover - left to right: keyboard, bass, lead singer, drum, lead guitar. :laughing)

They're actively shredding tree branches at several spots. Dry wood dust over asphalt is pretty slippery, feels worse than dry sand, but hopefully they'll clean up soon.
