Fuck off
i need to auto draft too, donno if i'll be able to make the live deal...just donno how to set up my autodraft :(

When I get home from work tonite I'll send ya a pm. Auto draft set up is real easy as long as you know who you want and how high a priority you want them.

still can't figure out the auto draft :(

Go to your team homepage, there you will see a realtime tracker that is counting down to draft day. Within that box you will see "Pre-draft Player rankings," click the link.

On the next page, click the yellow link titled, "Edit My Rankings."

From here you manually input players into your draft box on the right, or in the exempt box on the left. The center box is the Yahoo Rankings box where all NHL players are located.

Though personally being that this is your first crack at NHL fantasy hockey, I would go with the Yahoo rankings as they aren't too bad. The draft will occur, and although you may not be present the autodraft will happen regardless.

What Brandon said...though I'd like to add some suggestions...

If you're new, you'll be fine using the Yahoo rankings. Though there are some blasphemous rankings on the list I'd like to fix (looking at top 25 only). These are my opinions so take them with a grain of salt...

#1 Daniel Sedin - given that hits and sog are scoring categories, and the fact that he's a better player, OV should pretty much always be #1
#13 Nicklas Backstrom - is overrated given he's supposedly playing on the "second 1st line" with Semin
#16 Evgeni Malkin - is a robbery; he's probably closer to top 10
#19 Mike Green - maybe it's just because I'm bitter, but after drafting him in the 2nd round last year, he proceeded to jerk his own dick all season last year

so am i right in assuming that if say my #1 draft choice gets picked before me my auto draft will just go down the line until there is a player that has no been drafted yet? does position effect auto draft at all or can you wind up with say 6 goalies on a team?

That's one of the tricky parts about the auto draft, and another reason why I hate to do it. The auto draft will select the next available, highest rank player (or highest manually ranked player), when you on the clock for next selection. The idea of auto drafting 6 goalies is a possibility and thus placing auto draft folks at a disadvantage.

Just keep them fingers crossed to hope for a solid lineup.
