Steee-riiike!

I just think it's so exciting to see a Shark putting his name in history books like he is.

He'll be 40 before the start of next season, 1050 assists, probably will end up around 1070 passing Stevie Y... Jagr played until 45 (?)...

If he plays another year he should pass Oates (1079) to get to 7. Say he gets 40, to put him at 1110. Say he gets 40 again the next year, that'll put him at 1150, passing Coffey at 1135. Another year he'll get Jagr at 1155, and possibly Borque at 1169 if he gets another 40. That's 1190...IF he plays another year (let's give him 30)..1220 will be good enough for 3rd, passing Messier!! Francis at 1249, and the Great one at 1963...yeah, right

Will he play 4 more years? probably not. might as well enjoy the ride right now

Alright let's discuss NHL playoff hockey, eh?

Here we go! Once again the Sharks drawing the Knights.

Last year, the Kings and Ducks tried to beat the snot out of the Knights and Sharks, respectively in the 1st round. neither tactic worked pretty much at all.

so I was a tad surprised that the Knights were coming out body-first like they did. The Sharks happily skated by and allowed LV to play chase for most of the night.

The Sharks also found some daylight above Fleury's shoulders, scoring all 4 goals on him iirc near top shelf.

That was a siiiiick redirect by Pavs, eh? lol. dude didn't even go down. just dropped his stick and skated to the dressing room. Baller!

yeah, we did not show up last night and you guys played well, it is going to be a great series. the goal off of pav's face! wow

I like how all shark's fans wanted a penalty on us when Timo ran himself into the glass!, even after the reply. A lot of Knights fans were saying the officiating was shit, but the officials are that the ones that lost us the game, we did.

looking forward to tomorrow night, there is also an outside chance that I fly into San Jose for a game next week

:thumbup

Pavs just has a nose for the puck, lol...or is it a tooth? Seriously though, if he comes back and plays 100% that just may be a rallying point for the team, to see their captain brush off a puck to the teeth like that.

I try not to complain about the refs too much, because it's always weird how the fans of the other team always feel like their team got the short end. I, too, feel that way about last night.

I expect that wasn't the Knights' best effort. This will be a heck of a series.

yes, when we click we CLICK, we just need to do so on a more consistent basis. I think the shark's weak spot is goal tending, but that could change at any moment and Jones gets hot again. I am really watching the Blues too, an rooting for them...till they get to us

Love watching this team when they're healthy, but I think we should all enjoy the first round, because I don't think our defense and goaltending can take us any further than a first round win this year. I hope I'm wrong and that we catch lightning in a bottle, but I just have zero faith in our ability to stop any team with real offensive weapons.

oookay that was a sloppy game. Vegas really picked up the tempo and it caused a lot of bad play by the Sharks. Good job by Vegas.

I think both teams have now shown how well, and poorly, they could potentially play. Both teams went into the playoffs struggling. Perhaps the key to the series will be which team can snap out of their funk first and longest.

Fuck off
Your weakness will always be revealed during the playoffs. Goaltending on both sides has been questionable, but fucking Jones and his sloppy, bullshit, 18 seconds in goals are driving me MAD> :angry :grumble :gahhhhhhh

sharks have had shit post season goalies since at least nabokov

For real. I thought Niemi would have been a good bet for us after having made it with Chicago, but NOPE. Fucking GAH ! I'm so ready for them to finally win one, but I feel it might never happen in my lifetime. :cry :cry

Niemi's GAA was very high during the Chicago cup year. The Hawks just scored a ton of goals that year.

I still think Nabakov was the best goalie the Sharks have ever had and it's been flat to downhill since then, save for Jones' one short spell of great play two seasons ago.

I miss Nabby. He was so underrated.

soooo do you guys really like Kane on the team? I have heard he is toxic in the locker room, but not from any sources I would trust. through the last yer he has put up some good numbers, but at the same time seems like a bit of a liability a lot of times too

I think he is trying to play enforcer too much on a team that needs some grit in that area. It's too bad cause he is a beast and plays with so much speed and effort.

With Pickles out, i can't see us making a comeback. Same shit happened in the other run. We are good, Pickles gets hurt, we suck.
