Lets see how this off-season pans out for us.

Also curious to see if this thread makes it past 2 pages :laughing

Right now it should be about Ovi’s insane cup bender.

Took it to tiesto. Carried it around all night. Then took it to a Nats game. Keg stands. Drunk in public everywhere. Amaze balls x100

+1 the dude has earned it. I think a lot of us rooted against him at first to not have too much success, but then after he went through some hardships we changed our minds. For way too long that drought lasted and we started thinking he would never get one. I would think he was thinking the same thing!

Live it up Ovi! This is your time now. You have paid the appropriate dues and then some, according to us sports purists.

That was an insane chain of events. 2 quick goals, one of which he assisted to tie the game with.

Jumbo is a damn beast. It's insane what he's done in the league.

Are we on the second page yet? :twofinger

I haven't had a chance to watch too much hockey this year, but from what I've seen, our defense looks like shiet. A little ironic given the acquisition of EK65.

Somewhat agreed. It definitely seems like having Burns and Karlsson as offensive-defensemen isn't quite working yet. Karlsson wasn't known so much for his defensive-defensive prowess anyways. It's about his offense. Same with Burns. Maybe too many chefs in the kitchen? I have a feeling they'll work it out come playoffs.

What the real problem is, is that Jones's 5-5 save % is like the worst in the league. sub-.900. He hasn't played well.

Burns has always been a defensive liability, but the trade-off is worth it because he's a absolute monster and he has a stay-at-home dman watching his back. But this year seems particularly bad. Even the MEV-JB pairing looks off. Slopping passing, getting caught too deep in the zone, chasing pucks, etc... Seems uncharacteristic for both players.

It seems the strategy this year is to have our dmen be more aggressive. Maybe an adjustment to accommodate EK65? Just growing pains?

Agreed on Jones. A lot of softies getting through. All the more important for our dmen to step up to give Jones some time to build that confidence.

Fuck off
Growing pains, fo sho. BUT, gawd damnit, can we get a road win, sometime soon ?!?!? Fuck. I haven't seen these type of road woes in ages.

At least the LAK are a full on dumpster fire. Too bad all their fans broke their ankles jumping off the bandwagon, so I have no one to trash talk to :laughing

Seriously, I'm dying at the number of my friends that jumped off and tried jumping on the Sharks wagon. Uh, no, fuckers, you're not welcome here.

The Sharks need a new goalie and that's all there is to it. the current pair suuuuck. like, bad. 3rd in scoring but 8th in goals-against. worst pair 5on5. I don't think they have a 1st rounder to trade, so it would probably have to be an actual player. a pickle.

The whole league's changed this year and it's all about creating offense, even at the risk of exposing the back end. A number of the coaches league wide have talked about it.

That said, both of our goalies have let in a lot of soft goals that just demoralize a team. That first goal that went right through Dell's glove the other night was a joke. You could see the shoulders drop of everyone on the ice after that one. Should never happen at this level.

I still think the Sharks are an elite team with this talent and will be a playoff force if they stay healthy. I don't know if they can really win it all with this goaltending, but I think they're a top 6 team right now.

They've started to gel offensively. The defense has been less turnover prone, but it's still an issue.

Goaltending always seems to be what holds us back , but hopefully we have enough talent to carry us to the cup!
