Booked a hotel a few weeks back, but I held off in signing up for the event due to travel for work. However, I signed up via Eventbrite today and I am looking forward to it. I am bringing another buddy to enjoy the adventure too.

I look forward to getting the GPX files ahead of time so I can load up my Trail Tech Voyager.

I got the email today with the tracks. FYI Day one is inverted. Both Day one and day 2 start in / near Fortuna. I had to edit in Base Camp to change the direction.

I'd like to share a tip for people using the Voyager. If you load the distributed GPX file, you won't have any of the waypoints like gas stops, lunch, etc. What I did was open the high res .gdb file in Garmin Basecamp, and exported it as a GPX file, which I loaded on the Voyager. This got me the way points. If anyone needs this I can share it in Ukiah either Friday night or Sat morning.

I figured it out. Thanks for the note. It is all loaded on my Trail Tech now.

This weather is kinda iffy for Sunday, I'll just bring two kinds of gear for the trip. My good rain stuff is too hot to wear normally lol.

Man this ride is no joke I rode 235 miles today o_O super tired and my D606 have hardly any knob left =/

For sure! I saw you pull into the parking lot at the Super 8 but couldn't flag you down.

The last 80 miles from getting gas outside of Shelter Cove was a test in endurance..

Killer route by NBMC, thanks to all who made it happen!

Special thanks to the sweeper crew who came and watched me pop my replacement inner tube during install after a front flat. They jumped in and helped me get is sorted with a huge assist with another tube, some 4min tire install, and then they held my bike up while I put the wheel back in.. Bike fell off the stick I used to jack it up when I removed the wheel.

Great second day.. Just when I thought there weren't any water crossings we hit the section with several of them!

I'm just glad you weren't down in a ditch. I was worried about that when I headed back for you!:ride

Oh man, for sure! On Day one Chris thought you might have gone off the cliff on a sharp turn where some skid marks went right over the edge.. We stopped and look around for you for a few.. Thanks for coming back and helping me out... it was clutch when you found the nut I dropped in the dirt.

Good riding with you guys.

Ack was looking for you Cabrito I figured we just missed each other oh well =/. I wound up camping in the RV park.

Yeah there were a lot of WTF turns haha where if you kept on riding straight on you'd fly off the road. The first day had some of the roughest forest roads I'd ever ridden and those potholed roads sucked too I wished my suspension was softer =/ But I guess that's my fault I kept the tire pressure high because I'm not running rim locks and i don't wanna bend wells. Speaking of hitting stuff I've never hit so many roots sticking out of the roads ever!

Day 2 was great a lot of smooth gravel roads to slide around. Avenue of the Giants was awesome!

I tried to not get my feet wet but there was one watercrossing I had to legit go through =P I knew something was up when I saw that watercrossing sign. When it mentions watercrossings it must be legit!

Best thing about this ride was the scenery!
