North bay day ride suggestions

Coleman Valley Road is a super fun shitty ranch road that goes to Occidental from the coast. It's halfway between Jenner and Bodega Bay and you're almost certain to miss the turn, because it's across the street from one of the gorgeous cliffside vista points.

Good ride yesterday. King ridge road has great views but not in good condition. Bohemian highway is in good condition.

Thank you all for your help. Planning to do more rides in that area.

So it’s in “V-Strom condition” then. :)

I’m heading up there tomorrow. Will take the roads mentioned above, to Meyers Grade. I figure even if it’s foggy down below it’ll be nice on the ridge line.

I did the route again last week & it is not that bad(bumps, rough patches, cattle manure, some small pot holes etc) so yeah perfect for Vee

Rode that route (and more) yesterday. I loved the brand-new asphalt on Bohemian Hwy between Freestone and Occidental. :ride

Kings Ridge was full of bumps, as mentioned. Beautiful ride though. It’s great to ride for 30 solid minutes without encountering another vehicle.

Lets go fishing!
They are also repairing 116 between Forestville and Guerneville. I haven't been on Bohemian since the new patch work... Is it still littered, or did they sweep it?

Was that you that went flying by me with an adventure bike on Ft Ross Road on Sunday? Did that and King Ridge/Tin Barn for the first time. Mostly goaty, which is not the greatest for a sprot-touring machine, but it was worth the beating. Absolutely spectacular with great views, lovely ranches and small communities dotting the roadside. Met some nice people, too.

Also did Bohemian Highway which, with its new pavement, is growing on me. The town of Occidental makes a good waypoint to stop for lunch.

In the immortal words of Shaggy: It wasn’t me. I was up there on Friday the 24th (moto staycation, yay)! And besides I wasn’t “flying” anywhere. On Kings Ridge I barely got over 30.

OK. Also, I was mostly on Ft Ross road, not Kings Ridge which was (is?) impassable at some point due to a slide.
