“The health advisory will be lifted once the levels are no longer above acceptable levels,” officials said.

No clue how long that will be...

Good.

Crabs and lobsters are fucking disgusting anyways, and was considered so horrible that there was a limit to how much you can feed em to a prisoner on the basis of cruel and unusual punishment.

It's bland as fuck, overpriced sea insects. And its only "delicious" compared to maybe other sea insects, which isn't saying much.

Dude do you need a snickers?

Yeah, broski is kind of overreacting, but I kind of agree. I mean it isn't disgusting to me, but I have been to a lot of crab boils and it seems to me that the meat is rarely worth the work to shell it and the flavor seems like it is mainly an excuse to slurp the butter sauce.

I mean, if I never ate crab again, I don't think I would shed a single tear. Lobster has some serious flavor though.

Hmmm I love crab. It has been so long (decades) since I had lobster, I've forgotten what it tastes like....Maybe next time I'm out for seafood, I'll try it.

I go into anaphylaxic shock if I eat crab so I don't really have a dog in this fight but, crabs and beer seem to be a good time for everyone else.

I here you on the butter slurping tho. I swear people eat artichoke leaves for the mayo dip.

No worries. Once the water temperature drops it will be alright. Unless you have a boat the early season usually don't mean anything except combat fishing. Good time to tune up the cages, kayak and wetsuit in preparation. :)

I'll eat Karbon's share of the sea insects. I don't indulge often, but when I do, the crab eating becomes a fairly gluttonous affair.

I just like that we call seafood, "sea food". We don't call everything else landfood. Why lump it all into one group like that? I know some people that will call a bass "seafood" because it swims. Bugs me. I keep quiet about it, aside from squinting my eyes a little at them when they say it, but it still bugs me.

Its funny, I feel that of the two, lobster has less interesting flavor. Our local crab has a slight tang to it in addition to the sweetness of the meat. Lobster is rich and sweet but to me, less character.

I finally got to have good lobster when we went to Cape Cod a few times and where its priced reasonably, instead of obscenely high like here. I was a bit underwhelmed. Wholesome but as they say, meh.

Yeah, I'm not huge for either. Shell fish is not a big sell for me in general. I like to eat it, because it is against the bible, but I will eat fried shrimp and sriracha ALL DAY LONG before I would eat crab or lobster if given a choice.

Other shellfish and fish itself are more interesting to eat. Crab feeds usually disappoint me because the crab is cold. I like it warm, which puts me in some kind of minority. Ms. BA makes crab cioppino this time of year, which has other shellfish in it giving the crab a contrast, both in flavor and because you have to stop and get the flesh out of the shell...Kind of a party thing almost in that regard. Of all the seafood, I think I like oysters and scallops the best.

I love eating crab, but it's just so much friggin' work. I've never really figured out how to crack it open efficiently. Maybe I just need a longer snout full o teeth. :laughing
