Maybe it's time we look at alternative tracks ... just sayin'

Unless of course they repave by then, because the track is actually a pretty rad layout when your not having to go through the whoops at high speed. Riverside is getting worse and is to the point of being fairly dangerous.

Thoughts?

Surface was gnarly, but Joey still laid a 46.4 on a 600…

Les says they're repaving for sure this year. I hope that's true, cause I love the layout of Buttonwillow.

Yes, before he tossed his bits in riverside from the launch ramp

I sure hope that it is true they will repave the whole track.

Surface was fine, Buttonwillow rocks.

The surface was pretty far from fine. As I was jogging the track, I got up close and person looks at some of the problem areas.

Some of the cracks and separations that are developing are alarming

I agree that the track would be much better if repaved but as Tim stated..Buttonwillow Rocks! The bumps are just part of the fun, if you get it right you can fly around the place and plus its something besides T-hill and Sears all year...I'm sure there are other threads that complain about how often we run T-hill and that we should run a 2nd Buttonwillow round.

Round 1 was awesome...can't wait for Sears Point!

You can always run it backwards or bypassing bus stop which avoids big bump.

Agreed, and there are so many different configurations with BW, just look at the track maps. Do not 86 Buttonwillow. :mad Start the season there, and end it there.

Huh? The bad bump is in between Truck Stop and Riverside. You still pass over that piece of pavement if you bypass Bus Stop or run same config CCW.

Surface was fine, Buttonwillow rocks.

Round 1 was my first time to BW; I agree it totally rocks. But you can't possibly believe the surface is fine.
I don't think it's bad enough that we should 86 it if they don't repave, but it's not 'fine'.

It was fine but your lines navigate around all the bumps in brusies dont they . Tims vids have him wheelying half of it so id assume your absorbing those bumps just fine sir ...

Empathetically speaking it could scare n00bs but I didnt go and have no Input but the general sterotype of this track has dubbed it "BUMPYWILLOW" Just saying .. thats just talk I have zero experience there :p:p:p

Have you seen the surface of the other tracks we run?

We can run many configurations that Buttonwillow has to offer us, and here I go again, but why do we always run the same configuration, and in direction? Bumps or no bumps I like the track. No reason not to continue to have this as our opener, or closing race. Bumps or no bumps.
