New Female Rider Here!

thank you...
I hope that i'll keep this alive...I'm surrounded by people (parents, friends and exes) who don't ride and oppose the idea, so I'm pretty much the only fighter on side...but i'm too stubborn, so we'll see how far I get with this.

Hey you are now part of a great community of people that love TWO wheels!

Hello,
I purchased a gs500f a few months ago, but i finally got all my gear, completed the MSF, and started riding recently.

I don't really know any other riders, but riding is very fun!

that is all!

I am in your area and just got all certified as well. Have a SV650SF. Any time you want to ride let me know I would love some peeps to ride with! PM me if anything comes up.

Regards,
Connor

if you're looking for a parking lot in the eastbay, there is the college of alameda where the MSF is taken place at. figure 8 boxes, "s" curves, emergency braking line, 180 degree circles, corners, etc. first place i went to when i got my first bike:thumbup

Dude, back up, you already gotta chick on the side providing you bling-bling. :laughing

sleepy head, How ya doin'? :p Seriously, the GS500f was my first bike in 2006. Great bike. Enjoy all the firsts', you're in for some fun times. I think I still have a video a friend shot of me right after I completed the MSF class and I looked like Fred Flinstone when starting from a stop (I called it a walking start) :teeth

How tall are you? I don't know about the Ninja, but I'd guess the SV might be slightly taller than your old GS500.

I had an '03 SV Naked. It was a great bike. Fun to mod. In fact there are tons of stuff out there to customized this bike. Might take a while before the aftermarket catches up with the new Ninja.

But the SV was a little tall for me. But by shaving the seat, plus sliding up the forks slightly and reworking the shock (both done superbly by Phil @ Aftershocks), I could flat foot with both feet.

You should take a look at the Monster 695 too.
